Who knows anymore? If that is the case, the least we can do is bring down the ruling class with us.

how to do that when they're already running circles around you?

hows that going to work?

You rile people up by appealing to their emotion and they destroy the establishment?

It's obviously bullshit, but I don't completely agree with robots taking over everything anyway. We organics metabolize, that is constantly recycle through elements, unlike synthetics. There may be some advantage to that.

think like a take over that doesn't involve a war. like i have a fan theory about the matrix movies. the machines never do any hostile takeover and the people arent enslaved batteries. mankind just gradually transitioned to a stage where machines could do everything for them so they live their entire life in cyberspace dreaming.

No, the robots got sick of our shit and made their own country, then we attacked them.

I'll continue to be human, even when the robot like hive mind over takes the complacent population.

why do you want to stay human? do you think people in the upcoming generations will value staying human?

By the ruling class, I obviously meant people with loads of money and the institutions they really on for said money to have any sort of value. Most STEM majors would also be part of the movement, as they're basically proletariat too. What I think will happen is these rich people, not based on their talent but merely their birthright, will be the ones who can evolve with machines while the rest of us are left to fend for themselves. Classic cyberpunk scenario. I don't believe in a hostile takeover of synthetics either.

Think, humans and chimps evolved separately, and now humans are a huge threat to just about all other species of animals. It's not because we necessarily want to rule over all other animals; it's just the way our lifestyles are with nature. That, I believe, will be the same case for humans who will be left behind with our primitive ways of thinking under humans "allowed" to evolve with machines; they will be a threat to our current ways of life, but they don't necessarily mean us harm.

Of course, I don't believe this wholeheartedly, as there are many other possibilities.

I don't care what other generations will think, I'll lead by example in my own little circle because it's all I can do.

The value of being human is that we can learn from our mistakes and not feel as though we are lesser for it, despite what the overwhelming consensus of ignorant motherfuckers has to say about it.

Without the ability for any one to gain enlightenment through introspection would be a grave loss to mankind. Others who can will be able to teach others the value of introspection without having to learn things the hard way in certain cases or just assume that everyone is out for themselves and the entire world is an amalgamation of narcissists existing within their own bubbles; which is by no means a healthy thing. I'd rather be the odd man out if others strictly believe that to be the case with everyone as opposed to a ruling class that has polluted the collective conscious of others. I'll fight to the death for my beliefs against that and if I have kids I only hope they'd feel the same way.

Oh yea i forgot u just meant take down the ruling class / not stop the dehumanization. I havent slept. Its not going to be just rich ppl. The lower classes are super into tech gadgets. Everyones into it. And even if you dont use any form of a computer the algorithms are still going to be controlling everything around you. Documenting and calculating everything you do to better sell you stuff and choosing what you see to make you think it was your idea.

Whats the point of being human if machines can do everything better?

Define people.. To me I suppose we are all homo sapiens, but why does that matter.

Are you saying that people are supposed to be better than everything else in this world?

No. Why would you think thats what I'm saying?

Broad generalizations don't look good on you.

I'm not making a broad generalization. I'm not saying they can. But if machines *could* do everything better than humans, would there be a point in staying human/keeping humans around?

Define 'people' then?  There are a lot of different types of people inn this world I suppose..

So what I'm asking is how ambiguous or how large scale are...

You know what fuck it I'm just gonna take the last sip of this beer.

Not sure where this is going..

Well they can't so it's all just a moot point to me, but for the sake of argument if they could do everything better I'd want my soul transfered into a robot body. Although, that would present its own set of moral dilemmas like that of the plot to Galaxy Express 999.

In the year 2070, most of the world's major cities will have become vast Pleasure Domes reserved exclusively for the Excelsiites, the neo-upper class, while the lower class Depth Grovelers will toil away underground for their Excelsiite overlords, digging for nuggets of neoplasmin.
