Did you ever like MadTV? (the late night sketch show on Fox, not the Cartoon Network abomination "Mad."). I remember one sketch where Bobby Lee played "The Average Asian." The part I remember the best is they were in high school, taking a test, and one of the characters asked him, "Hey, what's the answer to number [whatever]?" And he goes, "Gee, I..." And the dude cuts him off, "G and I! Thanks!" I think there was also a part where he's driving his friends around and they're all frightened but he drives fine, and they're all shocked they made it safely.

lol, what? Apparently I've been in the hood in 2 different cities I've lived in and didn't even know it? The Jack in the Box I used to stop at in Hollywood when I'd take a shopping trip to Amoeba Music is infinitely more hood than the Popeye's I went to in Irvine. I've never actually stopped at the Popeye's in Fresno but I've driven past it a gillion times and never got a sense I was in the hood. Also, oddly enough, when I first took that trip to Amoeba Music in Hollywood I tried to go to where my GPS said was a Burger King, but actually it was a Chik Fil A.

......How is that a joke?

I recently heard of a metal band called Cemetery Gates. On the site I heard about them on, their genre is listed as "Progressive / Gothic / Doom" which I never in a million years would've guessed about a band named after a Pantera song.

And in gina's defense, the only reason I knew about the Popeye's vs Chik Fil A chicken sandwich brew-ha-ha is because of UEMB. I didn't see anything about it in my facebook feed until this morning.

I have no idea why Popeye's is so popular. Everyone, literally fucking EVERYONE in old IB said Popeye's is so much better than KFC. Well I decide to try Popeye's once, and once was enough. That was the fucking driest chicken I've ever eaten. Their biscuits weren't very good either. However, I will say that Popeye's gravy is great, and is better than KFC's (and I already like KFC's quite a bit), but that's it.
