Quest 64 had an ok story... sort of... it's maybe not a great game by many measures. But still one I remember fondly, through the lens of nostalgia. I think Bomberman 64 is the better of the two bomber-choices. Hero's ok, but I think 64 stayed true to the game's style.

Ok, so, maybe I haven't been paying attention and missed something, or, idk, still a big reveal coming or whatever. But. Why is it UA only has first-years taking this exam? All the upper-classmen already pass? Are there any uppers at all? Lotta students here, from all over, and everywhere else seems to be sending everyone that ought to be qualified to pass. But over here in super big bad danger town, it's just the freshies. This idea has been bugging me for weeks now. Because dammit, somewhere, in the midst of all the shit that's happened to this class, there ought to be someone between freshmen students and pros/teachers to make sure, y'know, more bad shit doesn't keep happening to the youngest class least prepared to deal with it. Pros-in-training (literally, licensed and just getting some hours in or however it works), seniors, volunteers, chaperones, anything that can stand between these kids getting caught up in more major league villain shit. I mean, sure, yeah, that'd basically make for an entirely different story, if everyone hadn't already been thrown to the deep end. Nevertheless, it's kinda ruining my immersion to consider how little the faculty have actually done to keep any of it from happening again. -
So basically what I see from this thread is the update changed how something looks/works, and you're here to complain that things didn't stay exactly as they were. After an update. Typical.

As long as you can get your employer to say it'd be a hardship to not have you for that time, usually works. Bonus if you're self employed. Personally, stayed mostly asleep in the assembly room for the two days I was stuck with. Get out early unless you're stuck in a trial. Easy days.

Probably the same reason Kaede spoke the way she did back in ye olde Japan in Inuyasha.

Just a third? Your own monstrosity takes up about 80% of the window. -
So you want somebody else to read a walkthrough for you?

Used to be I could keep trying to refresh the captcha and it would eventually just give me a simple numbers/letters image to type. Lately I try doing that and it basically blocks access after a while thinking I'm just spamming them or whatever. I hate those click the image ones. But I guess maybe they are slightly better than the ones that were also ads.

Do you remember how close we got to getting westpark?

I remember someone on the nodebb claiming westpark was their own made up character. -

Sawfish is more a ray than a shark.

Look at it this way: You ever see any zombies with glasses? Clearly there is a correlation there. Glasses prevent zombification.

You know it's bad when the furries weren't R34ing the shit of out it immediately.

Seems to have started around 5 pm, PDT yesterday, although I didn't get hit with it until several hours later. The update seems to have been rolled out around 9 am, PDT this morning. So, depending on your usage (and settings), might not have noticed anything.

Mm, still waiting for mine to catch up, methinks. Or possibly probably need to update Firefox. EDIT: evidently needed to change preferences on allowing firefox to run studies. But it did also occur to me that it wouldn't matter in this situation. Finally remembered that I'm pretty sure I went in to do some hosts file editing to prevent the computer from loading certain ads entirely. Also edit: finally starting to see the ads here. But, ironically, none in this thread.

Weird. Firefox finally dumped all my add ons, and I still don't see any ads here. Wonder if maybe it's anything to do with not updating Firefox often. Hopefully they're scrambling to fix it fast.

dragon ball super Dragon Ball Super Episode 108 Discussion
rpgamer replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
I mean, thus far, nobody of any real significance has been wiped from existence yet, I don't think, so it was simple enough to not really contemplate the consequences here. Plus, the idea that the dragon has the power to restore things that no longer exist seemed like a bit of a stretch. Suppose it's not really so different from making a comfortable pair of undies out of nothing. But still, re-creating entire universes (plural), conceivable that that could be beyond power/capabilities of the dragon. But as soon as I had the thought of how it would all play out, it was just like "Fuck, that sounds exactly like what they would do with all of this. Make it all entirely irrelevant."- 106 replies

dragon ball super Dragon Ball Super Episode 108 Discussion
rpgamer replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
Crazy prediction that I hope isn't actually a spoiler, cuz I haven't seen anything beyond Toonami, and I don't really care enough for any of you to try to tell me one way or another: Had a sudden vision of how this entire arc is going to end. Naturally Goku's team wins. With the winning wish from the Super Divine OMGAmazing dragon, Goku decides to wish all the other universes back into existence. There's a brief moment of "OMG, how could you go against the Grand Zenis or w/e" before he's like "Lol, no, it's fine, this is great, now we'll get to have the tournament again someday, and it'll be even awesomer.(and also now the writers can keep using all these characters they've already come up with for future filler and shit)" And in the end, everything is back to exactly how it was at the start(coincidentally not unlike a filler arc), while all the other universes have to grudgingly accept that the dangus that got them into this mess actually somehow managed to get them out of it.- 106 replies

Why is this thread in Toonami if it's not about Toonami? Chill out and pay attention. KN's just toying with some extra revenue options. And they're already keenly aware of how invasive it got.

It's not the worst shounen. Surprisingly not quite as cliched or predictable as you might expect. Sure, there's plenty of less enjoyable material, too much yelling, too many tsunderes. But I'd say it's not quite as bad as first impressions might suggest. Nothing incredible. But, it's something.

I guess he could hurl himself into a red sun. But that does seem awfully dramatic. -
Orcas are in the same family as dolphins. One that has evidently evolved for maximum douchery.

Idunno about actual ratings, but this feels so much nicer shoved to the ass end. Always felt like it ruined a lot of good momentum early in the night. (and, tbh, has done a pretty terrible job so far of showing itself being worth having on the block, as far as quality content goes)- 61 replies

mha My Hero Academia Episode #45 (307) Discussion
rpgamer replied to OwlChemist81's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
Y'know, I realized something the other day, and it's really starting to bug me. UA seems like a pretty big school. Big enough to be teaching hundreds of students, at least. And, yeah, we saw some few of the other classes back at the sports festival. But, weren't they pretty much mostly all first years? Where are the upperclassmen? Considering what this batch of freshies have been going through, seems like it might be prudent on the school's part to have some second+ years assigned to the classes. A role similar to the patrols we've recently seen, but maybe with a little more independence. Some students that have already survived the hero track for a while, trusted with a little extra responsibility. The teachers and real heroes will still be around, but there's only so many, and you can't really go taking too many real heroes away from their actual work. This field trip seems like it could've been the perfect opportunity to get some crew closer to graduation some hands on experience. Even without any villains attacking, being around to keep an eye on things would still put them in a position similar to what the teachers are already doing. And if you already know some exercises will be splitting the groups up, would be smart to have some trusted extras around just in case.
