  1. When I think of Cleveland, I just think of Cleveland Rocks. Which makes me think of Drew Carey. And then I end up remembering Drew Carey doing a strip tease. So. Thanks for that.
  2. This seems like a common problem with long running anime. Every so often, gotta have some major retcon.
  3. I'd been saying to myself what they really needed to be doing was acknowledging on air that their scheduling has had a bit of a hiccup. Nice to see they did exactly that.
  4. This is where my brain went. "What does she know that we don't?"
  5. And One Piece is supposed to be one of the most popular anime shows ever, look how that turned out.
  6. Wait... is it not good news that we're not getting more Jojo?
  7. Yeah, that's not a problem with the name, that's a problem with parents not treating their kids like actual human beings.
  8. The big twist being that the weapons purpose-built to wage war would have no purpose when the war is over? Eh. I felt the game lacked sufficient character development. You go from "machines are the enemy" to "I guess some of them are ok" with literally no in-between. Does an awful job of establishing that tolerance. Story plays it a bit loose with "dying is fine, we've got backups" and "no don't die you'll lose who you are right now." The moon server twist wasn't as much of a shock after playing Replicant. And, in general, the whole point of everything was simply as an examination of "why are we here?" I get it. The existentialism isn't bad. It's fun to dwell on once in a while I suppose. Just, personal opinion, not something worth of all the praise heaped on it. But, maybe that's just cuz I had my fill of all deep thinking back in my 20s.
  9. That aside, I will concede, I did really like the music. I don't think I've enjoyed a game soundtrack that much since probably FFX. But, not really a fan of the "make half a game and stretch it out by forcing players to run it twice or more" formula.
  10. Twilight Princess was the last good one. Skyward Sword was ok. BotW is a terrible Zelda game. Maybe an ok open world game. But it ticks, like, none of the boxes I'd expect for a Zelda game.
  11. Then enlighten me, because I'm really trying to find a little bit more to it beyond simply "what does it mean to live?"
  12. I finally played/finished this game (and remastered prequel), and... not sure I get the hype. Is a bit of existentialism all it takes to get kids excited these days?
  13. Does your work not have wifi?
  14. Why would I need to get on the internet if I'm not at home (or otherwise wifi accessible)? Also I pay, like, $5 a month for the handful of minutes I might actually use, almost entirely work related. I'm sure over the years this decision has saved me assloads of money with no significant downside.
  15. If it makes you feel any better, I can't even open my dishwasher all the way, no clearance past the oven door. And my complex "upgraded" their laundry facility recently, and now all the machines require an app to make payments. Fortunately for me, I don't have a mobile internet data plan, so I can no longer do laundry here and have to go down the street. =/
  16. I'm not familiar with any of the games. But, that does seem to be the memes.
  17. "Hey look, a swallow!" "So, hey, Tsukasa..." ....Where the hell is this segue going?
  18. Honestly the director choice was an entertaining twist. She's practically admitting he's better than her, or has the potential, and gives him the seat, only for him to throw it right back by putting her on top. This works pretty well for a nice denouement episode.
  19. Wonder if anybody ever questions why "the great dog demon" doesn't seem to have an actual name like everyone else.
  20. I'm digging this up because I saw on someone's desk the final volume of the manga they were reading, and I skimmed through to spoil myself on the ending (because I've never really liked this show to begin with), and, just gotta say......
  21. As dumb as the premise of this entire segment is, it somehow still manages to build proper tension. This has been a defining feature of this entire show. Despite the absurdity presented on the surface, and despite how trite it can be at times, it's still written remarkably well. Far better than a show like this probably deserves. Ironically, much like Soma's dishes, which look like basic fare at first glance, there's much more to enjoy the more you dig in.
  22. Mkay, yeah, was just a long time ago and I forgot cuz they made a point of him not having an arm for so long.
  23. I must be forgetting something or wasn't paying attention somewhere, it's been a long while... but I don't remember when/where Sesshoumaru got his arm back..
  24. So, does she just have an extra long neck, or.... cuz, pretty sure she shouldn't be able to just look back and see her entire shoulder.
