I was thinking about this just a bit ago. Like. Will we ever witness something like this again? There's definitely a faint feeling of "living through history" here. It's hard to imagine any other social platform going out like this. They'll typically wax and wane as new trends emerge. I can't think of very much else that could crash so spectacularly unless something like Google went down in flames. There's gonna be whole chapters dedicated to the monumentally bad decisions made through this in business management courses and who knows what else. And I'm absolutely loving how this is making some circles take a closer look and wonder if this management style is also present in his other companies/ventures.

Imagine having a list of people critical to your app's functionality... and not offering to pay what they're worth. Financial genius at work.

Hah. Near figured all y'all would want to lay low and let some other chumps try handling the chaos. Realistically, I'd imagine the infrastructure is long gone. But man, what a trip that would be. We're just all going in circles.

So, basically two options, right? It was intentional, with Putin sitting smug daring them to take action, or at the very least testing the waters, and the limits of what he can get away with. And as was said, there's probably enough plausible deniability there, they may be hoping. Or, could've genuinely been an accident one way or another, and they're shitting themselves over what the potential response is going to be. After the timely retreat, does sorta raise an eyebrow at the convenient timing with regards to election shenanigans over here...

I guess being stupidly rich means not being able to see the very obvious consequences of your actions... but I'm sure this won't backfire at all.

Only other thought was maybe just that the script was feeling kinda dense, almost like the voice suffered a bit for having to be slightly rushed in places.

...Wouldn't it just be some decadently delicious irony to watch them lose come 2024 as voter turnout dips because "my pick lost the primary, so I'm just not going to vote"...

Makes 'em more like Jesus. Or, y'know, their version of Jesus. But really tho, they're probably just self aware enough to know that younger generations increasingly turn away from religion, but not aware enough to consider that it might just be a problem with the religion itself (or at least modern presentations of it) that turns people off. Plus a little bit probably of people in power want there to be more religious followers because they're (probably) easier to manipulate..
