Let's also not overlook the fact that, no matter the outcome, he will never escape from "small dick energy." There will always be just that faint whiff of pathetic around him everywhere now. -

Y'know what, that is now the one pizza chain I will allow to lay claim to the title of "world famous." -

Today has been a good day for schadenfreude. Good way to round off the year. -
Elon Musk now owns Twitter, apparently trying to run it into the ground

Had a twinge of a conspiracy theory earlier, about what if all of this was just a ploy (a stupidly expensive and surely failed one) to drive more traffic to his truther site, thinking he'd be the only game in town once twitter shit the bed? -

Just because he's a parrot doesn't mean he's as smart as one. -

What they don't realize they're arguing is that hate speech should be protected now because it's political, being their political platform. -

Well, it's like he said, Dox Populi, Dox Dei. -
Let's meet in the middle and say we need more Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. Full credit, Craig of the Creek did seem like a decent attempt, but it did feel like it lacked a certain something to draw any attention. Almost like a weaker version of Codename: Kids Next Door. Basically, needs a return to the old Cartoon Cartoon days. Which... looks like Genndy could be on board already? Might be a good sign.. coulda sworn he was burned by them before.... I ain't asking for, y'know, the next Steven Universe or anything. Just, hoping they raise the bar just a little bit over the Homer Simpson demographic.

Commercial flop? Yeah, probably. Still a quality show? Better than anything CN's put out in recent memory. And that's really the only point I'm making. If CN wants to draw in an older crowd, they're only going to do it with quality shows. Shows and creators that have an actual passion for what they create. That's how you create a fanbase that keeps the flame burning long after the show has ended. The good shows stick with you, and as you get older, you're more inclined to want more of that feeling, more that lives up to those memories. Owl House may have flopped, but at least it's still keeping the Gravity Falls-ish spirit alive. (just kinda rolling with the idea in my head that Gravity Falls may have probably laid the groundwork for a lot of series that followed..) CN's had some good hits, but they've completely failed in even trying to maintain that attention. Maybe even actively discouraged it with some of the things they dropped/canceled. They've definitely got some work to do to build that trust back up.

Are we sure he hasn't already been to space, and possibly picked up a few space worms eating holes in his brain? -

So, last canon episode of the year, I expect? Not bad. Shame there's still one more batch of filler hell yet to come.

Hey look, an act of right-wing domestic terrorism, the thread [with occasional mentions of international right-wing acts of terrorism when they occur and are relevant to American domestic terrorism due to overlap in terrorist organizations]

Such a weird correlation to make. "They're censoring us because of politics!" No, they're censoring hate speech across the board, your party's platform just happens to exclusively be hate speech. -
Oh, hey, another opinion gingo is trying to pass off as his own. At least dress like a parrot if you're going to act like one.

Wonder if this is in any way influenced by seeing how Disney has been killing it with some quality shows lately. I mean, sure, they still do their share of literally killing said shows... but they've had several hits with broad appeal over the years that, despite perhaps not meeting expectations, still catch a lot of good buzz. Good buzz is something CN kinda super needs these days. Some way of stepping out of being the "oh, you mean the Teen Titans GO network?"

Railroad unions threaten strike over sick leave demands
rpgamer replied to matrixman124's topic in Current Events
I can sorta see where the argument is, tho. Like. Yeah, 4 paid sick days sounds like a thing to want to have. Orrrr... they can just spread that "paid" amount out across their whole salary. They still get the same value. Conceivably, better value, for anyone that doesn't use their hypothetical paid sick days (assuming company doesn't just pay it out or roll it over or whatever). Now, I don't know if that's genuinely the case here, if the idea/intent of the raise was to actually cover that cost, and if it actually did cover it. And, perhaps, holding out for actual "paid sick days" may be the better option in the face of, idk, wage fluctuation or something, where the "value" may not stay in balance. On the whole, tho, mostly in agreement. Something fucky must be going on for a company like this to not budge on paid sick days. I'll choose to assume the company knows how exploitative and harmful the working conditions are and just doesn't want to lose any profits on employees taking the time off that they need. -

Pretty sure Jesus also got killed for it, so... looking forward to him following that path, eh? -

It's the EU stuff that sounds super fun to see play out. Just a shame we won't see any proper coverage of it to maybe wake people up to how barbaric our working conditions are. -
I'm returning to this with the conclusion that no, they are completely incapable of anything resembling self awareness or introspection. I could spend hours just scrolling through this account for the lulz.

Great way to start the holidays. Thread goes on to point out that everyone who bailed on the dumbass "2.0" nonsense got three months' severance, while these poor sods (very probably many likely on visa without the luxury of choice) only get 4 weeks.
