In the event that you have managed to avoid spoiling yourself, I might keep an eye on this thread as you approach the end. I've heard good things, maybe I'll get it eventually, but, I have also spoiled the big twist already.

Bought a PS4 with stimulus money (I'm sure that won't come back to bite me in the ass) and whoo, Kingdom Hearts is mega on sale. Already played through everything in 1.5 and 2.5 final mix whatever, pre "final", maybe I'll go back to it some day for the actual added goodies. But for now, I start on 0.2. And damn, I hadn't realized just how much I missed this.

As someone into Zelda games, I would disagree with this assessment. The game feels very "Zelda in name only." You get all your special runes right at the start, and after that, you don't really get any new game mechanics. The four "dungeons" are ridiculously underwhelming. While I don't totally object to breakable weapons as a concept, the low durability of most of them makes fighting any overworld trash seem unrewarding. For a Zelda game, and one with this much hype, I was considerably disappointed.

You could at least go with an ASMB tradition/meme if you're going to go that route.

Also realizing this comes pretty close to the classic Star Trek transporter cloning debate. Does the pokeball literally kill the pokemon in the process of digitizing them? And if pokemon have to be turned into data to be stored, how are they any better than digimon?

The only thing I've ever wanted to know is what climatological effects water Pokemon have by just creating water out of nothing.

Most of the night seems to have been "These shows are premiering new seasons later this year." And I guess the occasional special like 12oz.

I did this back in the day, and it wasn't super confusing, but there were certainly gaps, and a lot of unanswered questions. Frankly, I found Xion's story far more compelling than most of the rest. Playing through all the side games, I was mostly enjoying them, not great, but, good story building, until, I think, the bonus end scene in... Re:Coded, I think, that really grabbed my attention. Sure, the entire story is incredibly excessively convoluted. But, that's part of the appeal for some, having so many pieces to put together.
