On paper it sounds like itβd be a lot more mean-spirited like those ecchi anime where women are seen as only worthwhile for their physical attributes. But the artstyleΒ and the jokes centered around their experiences with mythological beings-of-the-night make it too cutesy and tongue-in-cheek to get that kinda vibe from it.Β I think I got it as soon as they went to the fairy establishment and each of the guys were paired up with fairies based on their size. And that stuff is cheesecake compared to this. I wasn't watching this show either, and while I briefly considered doing so as a result of the controversy (which is warranted), I decided I'm too cool for that. It's going to be interesting to see if any other licensors are able to acquire this, because there are probably lots of people who either ignored the show or had no idea who now want to stream it. It calls into question why they didnβt just create an OVA series from it instead of trying to have the first couple episodes be a Trojan horse to letting them spend the remainder of the episodes showing every instance of penetration.Β After catching up with the show, I can see what they meant when they were going to make every new episode more explicit than the rest. The manga it was based on really had NO sex scenes whatsoever, and there it worked because it's just a printed page, where you can use your imagination and the reviews from the tabloids they posted in the show work better in a book.
