    Nah, it's more like the vast majority of Bleach's cast isn't interesting enough to justify remembering their existence. Meanwhile I can instantly tell you that the mayor of Luffy's hometown is named Woop Slap...to be fair that's mostly because Woop Slap is an awesome name.

    Oh man, I would lose my shit if Summer Time Rendering somehow made it here. It was an incredible show that no one seemed to notice because it was unceremoniously dumped on Disney+.

    I was cautiously optimistic about Blue Exorcist season 2 slotting in, because why bother with the season 1 repeat otherwise, but...wow. This is a biggie. I know it's a complete narrative trainwreck but I'm legit happy, because now I don't have to try and force myself through it on my own.

    I can fuck to this so far. Hell, I don't even need much plot, just give me 10 minutes of that insane choreography and Watanabe's fantastic music choices per episode and I'm set. Really makes me want to replay Mirror's Edge.

    No offense, but IGN is not the first place I'd go to for nuanced takes on...well, anything really. There's a good reason they've been a meme for many years.

    So is this thing still actually airing? I forgot to check it to set a recording if it was on Thursday (it's impossible to schedule it on the DVR otherwise because the show name keeps changing), and I'm not seeing a repeat listed tomorrow night.

    The worst thing I had to read in high school was fucking The Awakening. Either that or A Separate Peace. Ugh.

    Somehow I missed out on it in high school. I think other academic tracks had to read it, but not the one I was in. Most of what I know of it is from GITS: Stand-Alone Complex.

    I had to laugh when I saw the opening described as "the Bebop we have at home." It doesn't affect my cautious optimism for the series much either way, but I do think it would have been a good idea to go for something that wasn't quite so...on the nose.

    It's crazy how much of that I still remember from the final version of the episode. I watched the shit out of reruns of those original (good) seasons back in college.

    The original series was a masterpiece, and literally everything else associated with the franchise has been varying levels of hot garbage. It's kind of incredible.

    I like how this pair of episodes started with the worst part of the whole arc, Bellamy's horseshit that literally no one cares about, and ended with one of the best parts, pure Unmedicated Grandpa insanity and Sai managing to absolutely win at life.
