I bought some of the preformed Beyond burger patties. It was the closest to beef that a veggie patty gotten as far as texture and consistency goes, but the flavor was very weird. As a burger, it was easier to smell/taste the artificial beef flavor, and it tasted far too synthetic to do justice to the uncanny valley nature to how the meat browns and gets juicy. Almost smells like beef that went bad. I’d still try it in other applications, and it’d probably be really good in chili of recipes where it’s mixed into food, but there are veggie or beef patties that I’d prioritize over Beyond if I’m making burgers. Maybe I’d have to try the raw packet version to get the best experience, but I want to at least give it kudos for using peas instead of soy.

So far, my favorite show of the season is Dumbbell. Such an enjoyable cast of characters and it gives out some valuable life lessons. El Melloi II Case Files is a treat since I enjoyed Waver's side of the story the most in Fate/Zero and it's cool to see where he's coming from now that he's an older curmudgeonly teacher. The mom isekai surprised me with how much I liked it and how much its meta humor and familial drama stood out for me. Fire Force is an enjoyable shounen although I do think it could use some of the quirkiness that Soul Eater had. Araburu is pretty solid, but I know the manga does get odd later on. I still need to catch up with Kimetsu no Yaiba since I fell off around the Zenitsu episodes

Going from welcoming us to the rice fields and getting firecrackers shot at him in a Salamander man costume for an edgy comedy Youtube series to getting on the Billboard charts as a serious lo-fi trip-hop musician. It was good to see him move forward after that one video he released in the middle of his Franku tenure where he talked about his medical issues and he did have some early songs that showed potential. His newer stuff does court the Soundcloud "sad boy hours" crowd, but it's good to see him gain mainstream success without tearing himself apart in comedy sketches and Pink Season/Francis of the Filth were great book-ends to that period in his life.

The dumbest name-based realization I had with this trial was finding out that Vic was short for Victor. It feels weird to be reading these legal documents with his full name "Victor Mignogna" on them. Sounds like a completely different person.

Went to a Ludacris concert by myself. It was a great experience, but because I was alone, I was more focused on those around me. It was at my college campus, but there was some nerdy white freshman next to me whose grandmother brought him there and he was freaking out when "Stand Up" came on. She's far more fitting for the role, but I got so used to the Milfy Chie voice from the PS2 game that it threw me off when I played the spin-offs and she sounded like a high school student.
