The first season was great, but nothing will ever top Endless Eight

This, but with people that shit on the service too. Too many times have I seen bad reviews of amazing restaurants because the waiter didn’t bend over backwards for whatever stupid requests they had. At this point, you’re just giving it 1 Star out of spite because they didn’t put up with your shit or meet up with your entitled bitchass standards. They’re a bunch of old crabby bastards that were going to complain about the food already because you wouldn’t have eaten Thai or Peruvian unless your kids or coworkers recommended it. “Meat out in coolers at a hot pot restaurant!? Groooooss!!!!” Eat an actual dick cause maybe that meat might be more preferable for your processed junk palette. And the pretentious fuckwads that think they’re some esteemed critic because they got high off their farts writing out a 1 Star review that hones in on what’s really wrong with the indiginity of getting pizza that wasn’t as good as the one they got in NYC five years ago or being refused iced green tea at a Korean restaurant. It’s so easy to find which Yelp reviewers can and should be discredited. Especially if you read them with a stock “Karen” or “Walter” voice.

Getting your arm possessed by a Deadite would be a good start, but then you'd have to find the exact lines from the Necronomicon to resurrect the Deadites from their resting place.

It makes sense how it all came about and they did the best with how open ended the manga was. But it did feel like it missed opportunities by rushing the growth that Hyakkimaru makes by the end of the Tahoumaru fight. It didn’t help that the quality of the animation/story wavered quite a bit between the moth demon fight and the moment Hyakkimaru’s mother joins Dororo.

Just so we're keeping tabs: - Fly Me to the Moon is gone - We're now calling the "Third Child" by the Engrish translation's "Third Children" - Tiffany Grant confirmed that she actually had to re-audition for Asuka. Instead, Netflix went for an actress who did a Tiffany Grant impersonation. - All of the seasoned voice actors (Ray Chase, Erika Lindbeck, Ben Diskin, Clifford Chapin, Johnny Yong Fucking Bosch) were given supporting/minor roles. - They retranslated End of Eva too so "I'm so fucked up" is now "I'm the lowest of the low" - Many decisions in the direction and scripting of the Netflix dub that take the impact and bite out of scenes. Some of these may have been liberties that ADV took with the original Japanese script, but lose the nuances and subtext that otherwise gave meaning to many of these scenes. I've only watched the last scene of the Netflix dub so I'll have to watch more to see if anything about the performances rubs my rhubarb, but going off the one clip below, the only voice that is outright egregious to me is their version of Asuka. KaiserNeko also has a ton of clips on his Twitter page and I still need to go through them, but so far, I don't think the voices are too bad. Getting used to the changes could have been easier if the behind the scenes material didn't involve shitting on the old cast and pushing out a dub that cut corners and thought very little of seeing if there were things from the ADV dub's script they could've used to help lines/material flow more naturally.

Wonder how the anime industry will adapt with the higher demand for streaming. With how backwards the model for funding and creating anime has operated under, studios are still heavily stuck in their ways about using pricey physical volumes and operating on a hectic, destructive crunch schedule to make new anime. But will they evolve by changing their conditions and receiving funding elsewhere with the advent of streaming and stream-exclusive anime, or will execs treat workers even worse by refusing to make any substantial changes to their model in spite of money shifting towards digital streaming? While I've been compiling previews, some have noted that Summer 2019 has less anime on the forefront than past seasons, showing a slow, gradual shift away from saturating the market with as many titles as possible regardless of the quality or work conditions needed to meet deadlines. And with more exclusives for Netflix and whatnot, you have more shows than ever that are tailored towards being dropped on Netflix all at once, giving creators/workers/studios the new dynamic of not needing to have episodes finished on a weekly basis. It'll be a ways to go to see how all of this pans out, but the next moves the anime industry makes will be important for gauging how Japanese companies will react to the changes they'll have to make to reflect new demands.

From what I hear about it, it looks exciting. The gameplay, revamped music, and the new additions sound like they put effort into the game once they decided to develop the game in-house. The only problem is the fact that it's episodic, so Midgar will really be the only thing that will be remade for a while. And if it took them 4-5 years to develop Midgar, I can only imagine how long it would take to complete the remaining 2-5 episodes that can be milked from a full remake.

“Where the Hood At” makes me believe that one of his partners was male. Or rather, he’s shown less distain for nutting on men’s faces after they fellate him than having women catch feelings for him after spending some time with him.
