The last Kmart close to me is also planning on closing down. It always looked like a zombie apocalypse inside of there and they charged far too much for being a garbage store on the brink of collapse. I’m not sure if the one way up north is still around, but the last time I went to that location, we saw Edgar’s final form from Men in Black trying to enter the Kmart. Never did see a roach that big until that day.

My job would be so much better if it didn’t have an air of “Dear Leader” horseshit whenever we had to praise our CEO for getting us cold McDonalds or pretending to look like we’re robots whenever someone comes to visit. I get dressing up in our tacky work gear, but forcing us to keep our possessions in the car for an entire day and giving us an uncertain time frame on when we’d be able to have a lunch break out of fear of not being present for the “Its a Small World” presentation he gives our visitors of our work floor is bullshit to the highest degree. We’re productive enough as is, but it’s a hinderance when corporate actively sabotages our quality of life and instills fear on the off chance my wet blanket company is going to lay down the hammer on relatively well-behaved employees.

I used to do this when I had subtitles on by default because some shows are far too quiet, but it would mess me up when the dub script is completely different from the English translation. My mind would automatically get cross-eyed if I heard "Well that sounds goshdarn silly!" when the subtitles "That can't be correct!" appear on the screen.

A large variety, but I can vouch for Batman & Robin and the Mortal Kombat films being good movies to watch for cheesy guilty pleasure badness.

It was mostly upsetting because I knew that there were friends going to brunch and I couldn’t attend because I had to take care of car problems. I was too infuriated to buy myself something nice for lunch too, so it was the court of last resort to eat all the Captain Crunch that would’ve otherwise been neglected in favor of different cereals.

1/4 box of Captain Crunch with some leftover Crunch Berry dust. For lunch.

This isn’t a scene, but I have to add that the poster for Bulworth was frightening as a kid going to the movies. One theater I frequented had this jumbo poster prominently as you walked to your movie or waited outside the bathroom: Bride of Chucky’s poster and the holographic Jack Frost horror VHS/DVD cover sucked too, but this Bulworth poster scared the crap me for that entire year.

This one scene from Happily Ever After (a knock-off animated Snow White sequel) where Malcolm McDowell's villain character starts to seize up with a dead stare and a crooked smile before transforming into a dragon. There might be a couple others, but that one sticks out as the most traumatizing because the animation looked like shitty cartoon character art on daycare center walls that came to life.

Jonny Lang in 1999. My grandma had tickets to go with my mom, but she couldn’t attend so I figured I’d go along. Didn’t have too much of an opinion on his music, but it was a good experience.
