  1. My condolences.
  2. Yeah I've learned it's generally not wise to bear your soul online.
  3. Took me a while to get that. Gave you a pity like to be able to find humor in it when it used to be a huge trigger for you.
  4. I got exposed to Sabaton by way of the message boards at black-sabbath.com. A user there pointed out the riff in the first half of the Sabaton song Unbreakable is very similar to the first riff in Black Sabbath's A National Acrobat. After listening there's definitely a similarity, and I loved that song for it. I also really like the singer's voice a lot. But, aside form Unbreakable, their music just bores me. I really wish I liked their music because I like their singer a lot.
  5. My dad just posted on facebook a meme based on the picture of a guy hella checking out a girl walking by, next to his very jealous girlfriend. My dad is 69 years old. And he is posting memes.
  6. Some people would consider Manowar one of the classics.... Debut album out in 1982. Manowar were far more popular in Europe than in America. But that's cool. I was just offering because it took many tries with me but it was rewarding when it clicked.
  7. Dude, Eric Adams is such a great singer. It's weird. It took a LONG time for Manowar to click with me. And once they finally did start clicking with me, only two of their albums clicked with me right away. It was a long, gradual process of me becoming a fan, but by the end, I was hooked. I think a big hurdle for getting into Manowar is that the production on those early records is just so bad. The bass guitar completely buries the guitar, and it just doesn't have that "crunch" that metal guitars need to have. It's a lot easier to appreciate them once you get past the idea that hey, these guitar tones aren't going to rip your head off like Master of Puppets. But the songwriting is there. I guess another big hurdle a lot people have with Manowar is their lyrics and image. I don't know if that's true for you or not. Wouldn't surprise me. If you're interested, I could give you a recommendation for a song or two if you are interested in giving them another chance.
  8. I don't know how many other weakling metal musicians there are. But I am one. The irony being Manowar is one of my favorite bands. It's funny I just posted this image in a zeni thread like 12 hours ago.
  9. I get that. I'm a lazy fucker too.
  10. Who did your shopping?
  11. It was funny in the waning years of the lithium boards, it would say there were like 30 members, and like 5000 guests. WHO THE FUCK ARE ALL OF THESE PEOPLE???
  12. All of a sudden there's only 69 guests. They saw you post this, then they're like, "Oh fuck, they're on to us! Run!"
  13. I'm too much of a pussy for fight club.
  14. @SwimModSponges
  15. Hey what's up, I still haven't gone to bed yet.
  16. Oh, on a side note about the Boondocks... One year me and my parents were vacationing with my aunt, uncle, and young cousins in the mountains. I was in my 20s, so I could watch what I want, but I still want to be mindful about not poisoning my little cousins' minds with inappropriate TV. In my aunt and uncle's vacation house, they chose a very odd design that I don't think they really thought through: There were no doors to my two cousins' rooms. There were doorWAYS, but no doors to close. I always thought that was a huge mistake, as they may have both been ok with that then while they're little, but you think they'll want to come vacation where they have zero privacy in their teens? Anyway, during this trip my sleeping place was the living room couch. I had long since made it a nightly ritual to fall asleep to AS on TV. But then I ran into a problem: The Boondocks was on. What if my little cousins (they're both adopted, one is definitely white, the other is a slightly darker shade, I have no idea what race he is), with their door-less bedrooms right next to the TV, hear all the n-bombs and think they can go and just drop n-bombs all over the place. Like I just can't live with that guilt, I had to switch the channel when the Boondocks was on, lol.
  17. The only adult cartoon that I wasn't allowed to watch THAT young was Beavis and Butthead, but of course I watched it. By the time South Park rolled around, I think I was like 13 or 14. Still arguably too young, but not as bad as 8.
  18. Yikes. Yeah kids shouldn't be watching the Boondocks.
  19. I will give you that some shows on AS, especially in the early days, were good for not insulting your intelligence. And like you mentioned, Ghost in the Shell was one of the best examples. But over the years I've grown tired of adult oriented animation because there's just too much focus on sex, toilet humor, and gore. When you're a kid you love seeing this stuff. As an adult in my mid 30s, I'm jaded to it and it no longer entertains me very much. I think AS is turning a positive corner with shows like Rick and Morty, Mike Tyson Mysteries, and Ballmastrz 9009 though. Of course all those tropes are still there, but there's a lot more to those shows' appeal besides those three things.
  20. Yeah. I swear "adult" animation is much more concerned with appealing to kids than it is to appealing to adults over 30. I actually had a big rant in the rants folder a while ago that got very, very little response that included this observation with much more detail. But in that rant I couldn't say I had been in contact with someone who fell in love with Adult Swim at the age of 6.
  21. Maybe that's not so harsh compared to how cracky usually talks to Misaka???
  22. If I read that right, you became an Adult Swim fan at the age of 6, right?
  23. You know what, I started a reply to this comment, but I think I'll just heed buddy's advice and just walk away on this one.
  24. ..........You'll be spending the same amount on phones in the same amount of time regardless if you have a watch or not... Watches are not a replacement for phones. Watches are a replacement for one function of a phone (or rather, one function of a phone is a replacement for a watch, as has generally been the rule). I mean, I guess you could always get a smart watch... But even I see no reason for that, and I'm assuming you feel the same.
  25. It'll be interesting to see how they make room for it. If they push the shit out of it (like they most certainly will), will it usurp most of TTG's airtime? Will it cut into TTG's airtime and share evenly? Or will they share evenly by just not cutting TTG time at all and having TCR for the same amount, having roughly an hour a day for other programming?
