More and more, people are rejecting the advice of experts, doctors, engineers, and various other people who specialize in one form or other of their profession.  Just so many folks out there that have "done their own research" and believe because they found someone else who agrees with them on social media, that their opinion (that's the kind version) is correct.

 

Is this fixable?  Should we dismantle social media?  Are those folks right?  

Also, has cynicism won the day?

Is there a chemical within Heaven that makes dead dudes less agitated when they fail to delete all the scat porn off their phone?

Would God just say “ah, don’t worry about it” while your family finds out you’re some degenerate poop fuck?

Its impossible to know who to trust nowadays. Do you trust the Dr. Who is in the pocket of pharma and prescribing you the finest of placebos and experimental drugs that will inevitably lead you right back into their office....Do you trust the holistic health nut who claims just 3 years ago he had stage 4 cancer and turned it all around by eating fish scales.

When faced with these options, doing your own research seems a proper course....but you can definitely fall into the trap of just accepting something because it aligns with you current beliefs.

In fact, the only thing that I have complete certainty in is my cynicism.

And fk you dictionary for changing what I typed to the proper noun version of Dr. Who.
