Anyone else cook all of their meals since the start of the Pandemic?

I've taught myself to cook during this period and I regret ever touching fast food or diner food.

I had fast food not too long ago and I couldn't actually eat it. So salty and sweet. I've seen vids of people from other countries trying american food and they're met with the same distaste.

General Tso chicken is one of my favorite fast foods I could order, but I always find up feeling bloated and slow an hour or so after the meal. I recently tackled making General Tso from scratch and now I have control over the sweetness, spiciness and crunch. What was once a sugary mess of a meal is now healthy.

.......Well....You say that, but you are still just dunking fried chicken in syrup.

I got a crock pot that I've just been using as a rice cooker.  I've been throwing mixed vegetables, green onion, chicken and pineapple in it with  zechwan sauce.
I picked up some chicken broth but don't know what I'm going to use it for yet.

I easily halve'd the sugar content. Did I not make that clear with my post? Sorry.

Super versatile. I picked up a ricecooker for similar reasons.

You made it clear...It does not however make it healthy....just healthier.  It's still just fried food covered in sugar.

You didn't teach yourself; you used the abundant, overflowing cup of both kindness and avarice to feed your own desires.

The individual is a delusion.

The pandemic basically made ordering delivery guilt-free and now I'm very spoiled.

I just can't get with this.  I just can't see giving people an extra opportunity to fuck with my food.  Once it comes out of the kitchen, I'll take it from there.  I don't want it riding around in a car with some dude who enjoys ambient farts.

I've been cooking the vast majority of own meals since I left home, so no big deal  My big change during the pandemic has been making bread, anywhere from 4 to 6 loaves a week; we haven't bought bread in months

I am generally not into the gig economy delivery stuff as a principle, but also I am completely pathetic and by five o'clock or whenever I shut down I am just so entirely unmotivated and cranky that spending extra money to not have to deal with any cooking or cleaning, or driving and picking up, seems entirely reasonable despite a 50/50 chance the food will arrive an hour later and lukewarm.

So YOU'RE the one who bought up all the damn bread flour and yeast.
