PhilosipherStoned Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 corned beef tastes better than it looks at least.
Clu Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 Red or grey? And if you didn't know there was two kinds... You are a scrub.
SwimModSponges Posted March 5, 2018 Author Posted March 5, 2018 I'm a scrub, and that's ok because I don't like corned beef and cabbage.

Raptorpat Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 The first time I tried corned beef as a kid, my dad had been hyping it up all day while it cooked in the crock pot. Maybe it was the hype vs expectations, but I did not like and didn't try it again until I was an adult. It has since grown on me. But cabbage? Yeah, I'll do with a real side thank you.
schmahxgn Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 I prefer my beef as pastrami and my cabbage as saurkraut, with thousand island dressing and swiss, on rye bread. SPOILER ALERT: I am alluding to the sandwich known as the Reuben
DragonSinger Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 I love corned beef, but I can't afford it for a while .
wacky1980 Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 posted in another thread, but bringing it here because relevant. cabbage is going in about an hour from now, should be ready by noon. sooooooexcited!
SwimModSponges Posted March 17, 2018 Author Posted March 17, 2018 I dont see any corn in that picture.

Satou Kazuma Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 I only celebrate real holidays that I get paid for. So no, I don't care for corn beef and cabbage.
GunStarHero Posted March 21, 2018 Posted March 21, 2018 Corned beef is ok. Depends on how it is prepared. Personal favorite method is using super thin slices like beef bacon. Cabbage can be great, but I generally hate the way cabbage is normally prepared when served with corned beef. Cabbage is super versatile, too. Okonomiyaki is fantastic, and grilled cabbage is great in its own right, too.
Gyaos Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 I love corned beef. Replace cabbage with asparagus, and it's a hearty meal.
stilgar Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 When I was a kid my patents would boil the corn beef and after it was done they would roast it in the oven after spreading spicy brown mustard and brown sugar over it. It was delicious. 1

It's not until adulthood that we all figure out that corned beef is the best thing ever completely doused in dijon mustard.

You will never convince me dijon belongs anywhere outside the trash. Corned beef is pretty good, though.
