Kudasai Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 Continuing on with R-Type III on SNES. This game is kicking my ass but being the masochist that I am I keep coming back for more. Quote
Kehotik Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 Disgaea 2 PC which is apparently a port of the PSP port (Dark Hero Days) of Disgaea 2 for the PS2. >_> Tried to stream it, but it's been laggy sometimes. Quote

The fight with Dracula wasn't that difficult. Quote
Vamped Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 I'm still playing the Witcher 3. I finished the main story now I'm playing the Blood and Wine expansion. I'm just playing it really slowly because I don't want it to be over.  Quote
rpgamer Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 I picked up DKC: Tropical Freeze for Switch. Reviews sounded promising, as if the game had managed to capture some of the magic of the original DKC trilogy. It does not. The level designers need to be beaten with a sack of bananas. The game is terrible at introducing new things (enemies, mechanics, etc) in a manner that the player can comfortably learn them before moving on to harder applications. Moments of frustration far exceeded moments of enjoyable gameplay. Quote

I thought the strategy for beating was fairly simple. Let Dracula come to you then attack instead of hopping from platform to platform. But one thing I want to point out in Dracula X that I really like is the sound of the whip. I just love the way Ricther's whip sounds like when it strikes an enemy. To me it's satisfying and what a cracking whip should sound like. Quote

Barely used it the rest of the game before that. Yeah, the sound design was pretty good in general. Quote

Ric Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 Beat Rondo of Blood last night, which wasn't too hard other than stage 7 which was a bitch. Dracula in it was easier than Dracula X. I'm at 72% completion, gonna try and get 100. Quote

Kudasai Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 (edited) Kirby's Dream Course, I wasn't quite sure why this game made the cut on the SNES classic and not Tetris Attack but after playing it I'm glad it's on there. I'm sure I would've hated this game I had owned it or rented it back in day because of not having any clue as to how golf works but once you figure out the basics this game is really fun to play Edited October 31, 2018 by Kudasai Quote

I think the 2 player mode got me started though because my brother and I would play that and just use the power ups to screw with each other. Don't remember playing the single player until later. Mostly the Pikachu game. I'll be grinding later on. I'm currently in Saffron City and I have to grind 5 more levels before I can do the gym there. There's pokemon I missed earlier in the game though and I don't have any shinies yet so it's not a total waste of time.
