They aren't bad.

I like them and they’re the cheapest. The more expensive ones don’t taste as good to me

I usually prefer chicken and pork hot dogs to beef because most beef ones tend to not taste right to me. But the Deitz and Watson beef hot dogs are really good.

Exactly. Me too. I died when the Dairy Queen next door switched to beef hot dogs AND raised the prices on them. It’s pike now they cost more and taste worst.

I don't like hotdogs, too over processed.  Sausages however, perfectly acceptable.

Cant deal w/sausage unless it’s mexican or mild like generic breakfast sausage.

Whats in a mexican sausage?

What bothers you, the texture?  Because the lack of texture of hotdogs, and that underlying taste and smell in hotdogs is what puts me off of them.  Some german sausages have that taste, too.

A good sweet italian sausage, either pan fried until its nice and crisp golden brown on the outside, or slow simmered in some sauce for like an hour.... MAMMA MIA, DAS A GOOD SAUSAGE

And everyone loves a grilled bratwurst.  Little brown mustard, some good bread, thats all you need.

Idk I just like chorizo.

its not the texture. It’s the strong flavors.

sometimes I can deal

sometimes I just can’t.

especially the European bratwursts and stuff. Any sausage that you might smother in sauerkraut I dint like

I prefer Nathan's for hot dogs, though honestly most of the time when I get sausages I get them at a German smokehouse in Indy.

There is a local taqueria that sells some great chorizo tacos, so I go there if I get a craving.

not that I ever really eat hotdogs, but my father tried to convince me they tasted better than the regular old "lips and assholes" hotdogs, and i tried my hardest to believe him for years, but they honestly just didn't do it for me

past year or two before I moved into the house, when I did eat hotdogs they were usually from gus's https://www.yelp.com/biz/guss-hotdogs-watervliet

La Super Rica in Santa Barbara has the best chorizo in the USA (according to Julia Child) I used to live like 6 blocks from the place. God it was so good. And cheap!

I like John F. Martin Cheese Franks the most, because they have chunks of cheddar cheese ground up with the meat. Plus, all of their franks have bacon in the meat as well.

I’ve never heard of those but it sounds good. I do like cheddar cheese dogs

Sometimes it's just too hard to quit crappy food. Completely understand. My condolences.

I eat like Trump. Either super fancy or shit.

Hebrew National and Sabrett is more my thing. I don’t eat pork unless it’s at a good restaurant or a party, and the mixed hot dogs are always bland whenever I’ve had them. Usually tailgates or festivals when there’s nothing else to eat. Chorizo is fine though.

That's what I miss about living in Chicago; access to really good really cheap authentic ethnic foods. Great Mexican, great soul, great pie (pizza) and great Armenian food were within walking distance from where I was at any given time of the day.

Here it is a drive into town, and it depends largely on my schedule. The plus side is that I tend to make my own food, which helps keep crud out of my body.

i'm a fan of nathan's, but i don't usually eat any hot dogs because no one else in my house likes them.

love me some beer brats though. old feller in my hometown is a local legend for his deli-made beer brats. whenever we go north to visit, we hit up pat's country store for a couple dozen brats, and we run up to wisconsin for fresh shullsburg cheese and a case of new glarus beer. lovely traditions.

Please tell me you don't eat well done steak with ketchup on it like he does.

No way. Rare, or medium rare if it’s super thick. No sauces or anything.

i would never think of regular sausages or even bratwurst having a strong flavor, compared to chorizo.  And I like some chorizo
