I wonder how much of a hit FOX is going to take. It'll be a sizable financial one but would it really be enough to significantly hurt he network? Then there's also the topic of public trust but I can't imagine a lot of viewers even knowing about the lawsuit. Even if they do, it likely won't change their minds because that's the kind of demographic FOX's viewers are. Of course I'd Dominion will take Murdoch along with all of his news networks down but I think the most that will happen is that they'll be a bit more cautious with what misinformation they spread.

Wonder how conservatives would feel when they find out that they'd have to write a new Pledge of Allegiance and change the name of The United States to The Divided States.

I haven't read the entirety of this thread yet but I want to throw in a few points. Oil prices were down during the Trump administration and this was largely due to the pandemic causing less demand for gas. Less demand=Lower prices. Basic economics. Since there was less demand, the number of distilleries decreased. I wouldn't doubt that Trumps mishandling of the COVID-19 actually helped him in this regard as it made it look like he lowered gas prices. So what happens when everybody suddenly starts going back to work and when people start going out as normal? The demand for gas increases. Unfortunately this happened during Biden's term. Propagandist were already using his stance on how we should handle threats to the environment to push misinformation. I'll address a couple of their talking points. 1)Wind turbine use results in higher gas prices. This would be 100% false. Again, less demand=lower prices so that wouldn't make sense. 2)Biden's rejection of the pipeline increased prices. There are several reasons why this is false. First, it was a pipeline expansion. The main part of the Keystone Pipeline already exists. This pipeline exports tar sands to Canada. It does not distribute oil to other states. I shouldn't have to say this but a pipeline is not an oil rig. They do not produce oil. Currently refineries are in full production and more oil is being pumped out than ever before. Biden isn't rejecting the pipeline extension because "lul windmills." It's because of the proposed area would present a massive environmental hazard. Aside from it's threat to the wildlife in general, it would be stretching over the Ogallala Aquifer which is a massive source of fresh drinking water. We don't want to contaminate that aquifer. Keep in mind that it's not the question of if a pipeline is going to leak, but when and where. Gas prices really shot up during the start of the Ukraine/Russian war. Big oil used this as one excuse to employ a price hike and of course there was the speculation of the stock market. They also capitalized on a certain percentage of the population's perception of Biden to blame him. At this point, we have big oil egregiously raising prices and dropping the blame on the president as they were making record profit. Recently, Biden has been using the reserves to take advantage of the system. Selling high and buying low. This is supposedly aiding in the lowering of prices but conservative media is somehow using this in their hate machine.

So series has been rolling out. Gotta say I like the original Trigun better so far but I'm going to treat this like it's own thing. Spoilers below this point There is no Milly. At least not yet. Instead, there's a drunk guy. He's not too interesting. Easy going, down to Earth and constantly drinks. Pretty typical really. Also him and Meryl are reporters. Meryl is...fine I guess. I would rather not use this word but she's less tsunadre and she kinda plays into the reporter trope. Vash's character doesn't seem as principled. He's still a pacifist but he showed zero fucks about killing a sandworm. When Meryl finds him, he's trapped hanging upside down so kinda like the original. She was never skeptical of Vash's identity. In this series, he tries harder to not fight at all instead of going to his gun to save the day. By the way, the gun looks a bit different now. Not a complaint, just an observation. I'm sure you've noticed in the trailers that Vash's arm is different. I liked it better when people couldn't tell it was a prosthetic but whatever. Not sure if it transforms into a gun but if it doesn't, that would defeat the purpose of the series name. Wolfwood shows up and he plays the "You're too trusting, I could have killed you" trope. Just really lays it on thick. His weapon got an upgrade. It now shoots a laser instead of the rocket. He's was very protective and secretive about his weapon before using it in a fight. It's debut was showy and over the top. He sucks as a priest but that could be an act. Knives shows up very early on. He wears a robe of lost technology that can turn into small robots. I suspect he could turn it into anything because him and Vash are plants and plants create matter. Unlike the original series, he's very hands on. He'll waltz up to Vash himself instead of just sending baddies at him. Much to my disdain, he played an organ. Ugggghhhhhhh. Knifes shows up during the Nebraska Family event. The son of the family is more or less human size now about they had a change of heart after some events. This is the episode where you know you're really watching something different. People start getting dismembered and they have the classic 90's Ninja Anime pressurized blood thing going on.

Yeah, because he's fully cooperating. Trump was given months to turn over the documents before a warrant was issued. That's way more leeway than they would have given anybody else. We would have never heard about it if he cooperated. Even after the "raid", Trump lied and said all the documents were handed over. Then he claimed they were planted. Then he claimed they were his. He claimed that they're a "keep keepsake." We have one person kicking a screaming going "NO, THEY'RE MINE. YOU CAN'T HAVE THEM." and then we have another person going, "Ooops, mybad. Go ahead and take them back." So yeah, you don't have a gotcha with this false equivalence.
