I’ve been ordering things online to help lighten the load on the cashiers or guest services reps that have to deal with unruly customers this time of year. That and gifts I have to buy people are from online-only vendors. I’ve gotten some impulse buys so far like Shenmue 1&2 and Resident Evil 2, but I’ll try to get some gifts on the web while offers last.

I wanted to find Italian places last weekend to eat at, but Yelp is entirely useless when you have a ton of great restaurants buried under 3.5 to 4 star reviews for not being able to accommodate for a geriatric party of eight or for having a waiter that wasn’t going to cook your personal version of their best dish. I’d even go as far as saying if you made a Yelp review that says “So I came in with a party of eight,” your opinion automatically doesn’t matter.

I recently changed my icon after two years. It was a nice one and I always enjoy one that incorporates typing or someone on the internet, but this one is more expressive and has a middle finger poking out from the side.

I’ve seen too many teen drama anime this past year that have had school festivals where they have a myth attached to dancing at the festival. “If you dance around a bonfire with someone, you’ll be with them forever”.

I think it might just be how the movie’s script relies so much on Shinpachi yelling at everyone. I’m used to the Japanese because it just feels second-nature, but to have a random Sentai regular try his hand at shouting all of of his lines was grating after a while. Honestly, Greg Ayres would’ve been preferable.

If it’s anything like the dub for the movie, prepare to hear the worst Shinpachi voice in history.

I just watched a couple older episodes and then played the video games to get me up to speed. It might not be the same as picking up the manga or watching the anime, but those games were pretty good.

Did they also want her to fight a giant spider at the end? I hear spiders are the fiercest creatures of the insect kingdom.

Doesn’t seem worth it with how cheap everything looks. The Dex thing I can somewhat get if it was to help save some memory to polish up the game and get rid of the goofier Pokémon that have shown up within the past 15 years. But the game looks like dogshit, especially on a modern game console like the Switch. Pokémon games have been reusing assets for a while, but this is the first one that looks like they slapped together old portable assets to pass off as a current gen console game. It looks like a dire and ugly HD rerelease of a PSP game. I’ll probably give it a shot in the future since Galar looks like it could be a fun region, but it just sets a bad precedent to sanction purchasing the game when so many half-measures were made so that it could be released by the end of 2019.

The announcement felt like the console was suspiciously reminiscent of the Ouya.
