  2. Zombieland Saga Higurashi Perfect Blue Devilman Crybaby Ghost Stories Another Hellsing Ultimate Mononoke
  3. Speaking of crazy dreams, I had a dream that a friend of mine wanted to rent The Bye Bye Man from Blockbuster, but in this dream, the Bye Bye Man was actually a MILF trying to recruit one of the teens to help her kill.
  4. Popular anime are usually tripping over themselves to make sure that the dickish character isn't enough of a dick to betray the main character permanently. And if they do, then they're painted as absolutely irredeemable like Griffith, Aizen, or Kirei Kotomine. Light Yagami counts in the beginning, but by the half-way point, you end up rooting against him because at that point, he becomes a full on villain. I think the only shows I've seen where the anti-heroes aren't just douchebags on a hero squad are ones like Black Lagoon or Jormungand where the protagonists are hired killers and gun dealers, and don't make anything they’re doing sound noble or for a greater good. Kiritsugu from Fate/Zero had been too far gone as well despite the sympathy you can feel for being roped into doing some seedy jobs in spite of his fruitless hero complex. Lupin the 3rd's the oldest one because it's entertaining to see how his robberies and heists unfold.
  5. IB drama was always hilarious because people took the online relationships personally enough that they'd get roped into some crazy shit for other posters. Yearbook drama was primo material for people who had hidden personal beefs with one another. It was like Mean Girls, but with neck/leg beards. Babbling drama was a whole nother beast though. That's where you have fights over parenthood, addiction, casual sex, and questionable politics. Still petty and vindictive, but it was more interesting for me to associate with Babbling because it felt more honest in how everyone wore their best and worst traits on their sleeves. It's pretty easy to start drama since everyone takes their baggage with them to to most threads. It doesn't help that a majority of threads end up being about vices that some users can't help but indulge in or brag about, opening up more cans of worms, not to mention the lack of good faith a couple users have regarding posting threads for the express purpose of getting people upset. I don't have much to bring to the table as a weeb who stays in my lane, but it can be difficult to post here for good fun when threads are prone to devolving into the same fights about the same topics.
  6. It all went downhill after Watch the Throne, but his Kardashian and Trump garbage completely ruined his creative output. Nobody asked for a gospel album from MAGA-era Kanye.
  7. Gently down the stream
  8. So that’s how pale a person can get spending 23 years in an underground bunker.
  9. I elect to believe they all chirp in Gameboy era chiptune to avoid the unfortunate implication of dogfighting with autistic animals.
  10. Currently One, but two years ago I held two internships and a freelance all at once. I eventually settled for one of them, but there were at least two months where I had three jobs (not counting the blogging I do on the side).
  11. Sounds as messy as his custody battle.
  12. Chichi and Videl are the best DBZ wives, but the women of this series are notoriously shat on. Really, unless you're Goku, you're screwed. The men will always get their asses handed to them, and the women are always put on the bus as housewives right after they lose a fight or stop being useful. Bulma's the most productive, but she's regularly humiliated for going out of her way to be a part of the plot.
  13. Imagine manufacturing a controversy so that you can make a black actress the target of a fake casting rumor and brigade her Twitter with racist memes.
  14. His brand of humor and the James Corden Carpool Karaoke represent the worst of the hokey late night comedy scene in recent years. You can tell NBC was cool with letting Jay Leno go only after they could find a comic that sucked as much dick as he did to replace him.
  15. A tie between writing Amazon product descriptions for diet cookies and doing account management for a psychopath convict who sold snake oil medicine and penis pumps on the side.
  16. This is actually alot more helpful than I thought. I've been battling Vehophobia for the past few years and now that it's calmed down slightly, it'll be a good opportunity to try to learn to be more comfortable with driving again. Resources for this phobia were pretty scarce when I first got it, but it's nice to see more support recently that's been focusing on trying to hone in on driving rather than general anxiety or panic attack disorders. Acrophobia and thanatophobia mess me up too, but those could be what gives the vehophobia its fuel.
  17. I'm pretty sure it's because Toonami airs normie anime like shounen and isekai. It's not that big of a shocker that a popular anime on TV is also popular online and vice versa.
  18. Zombies A DVD copy of Starship Troopers The bugs from Starship Troopers A disheveled man masturbating in a tent parked in the cereal aisle A burning corpse A 6 pack of Zima that expired in 9/27/1998 The Best of Alien Ant Farm: A Greatest Hits Compilation
  19. But what dramatic difference is there in quality between watching it on a streaming site and buying a basic DVD? Heck, you could even buy a streaming version and put it on a projector more easily than a physical disc copy. Blu-ray’s better, but it’s messed up to not even have a digital HD copy you can buy online when you can still buy a Ghibli DVD for a reasonable price. Makes me wonder what kind of Herculean effort it took to get Miyazaki to agree to sell his movies on VHS/DVD for around $20 or less.
  20. I'd be all in for this if they adapt Girls of the Wild's with a better ending. I still need to read all the racy ones we used to get ads for on these forums. At the very least, they'll have more production value than the really shitty co-productions of Chinese comics, so I'm all the more cool with it if they're commit to curating some of the better manhua out there. The most shocking statement from this story though is the knowledge that High Guardian Spice is still being worked on and projected for a 2019 release.
  21. Yes, I try to stay up-to-date on my flu shots just to be safe.
