YouTube’s greatest flaw at this point is how volatile the landscape is for wave-riding content creators. While pumping out clickbait videos used to be a feasible way of making it big, the combination of diminished returns from the fatigue of low-quality content and the changing conditions it takes to get a video submitted will inevitably weed out any Youtubers that thought they could manage off of their old playbook. Anitube is the best example of this because of the struggles that come from using copyrighted content on a site that flags fucking everything due to DMCA guidelines. On top of that, who has the time to watch yet another four hour critique on SAO or the patience to hear someone else badgering you with their thoughts on flavor of the week anime? That was never going to be a sustainable model for content creation without the eventual crash & burn. I knew Digi was one of those clickbait anitubers who tried to capitalize off of stuff like the High Guardian Spice outrage and getting the boot for supporting lolicon. Even looking at Digi’s current output, there’s nothing that looks appealing whatsoever. Would there really be any wider audience for short vlog vignettes or a video titled “Uzaki looks like a little boy”? Can you get pissed at a dying cow for producing less milk than you would’ve hoped?

I hate that the alt-right fucked up all discourse online because I just had to delete someone’s comment yesterday on the blog I write for adding as many ethnic slurs against Asians as they could. You know can still be frustrated at a slice-of-life anime without talking like the main character from Gran Torino.

Sometimes I write long throughout responses and then just delete it. It’s cathartic to rant but I know it’d make my life easier to delete some planned out posts, lest I be expected to keep up with the responses.

I can get behind the conspiracy that HGS was a fake show created by AT&T to prevent female animators from pitching original animation to them. By having the first promo material for their first woman-helmed series be for an ugly flash cartoon with diversity as its sole selling point, they can use the angry public reception as their evidence that anything women make will share that same reception and be discouraged to give it the green light. And since little to nothing has been announced of HGS since the one animation frame that was shown during the Tower of God showcase, there’s nothing that could debunk my theory that the show was never meant to exist as anything beyond a lighting rod intended to sow discord among prospective animators looking to submit their ideas to CR. So much good Asturs R34 will now go unmade. Just one of many fuckups that AT&T has underneath their belt.

Wrapping up the third semester.

I remember the news where they revealed that Chuck E Cheese has a fake surrogate company where you can mistakenly order their pizza from. Oddly enough, the delivery apps I have have postings from Chuck E Cheese and not Pasquallys.

Yeah, it would be easier to excuse it as siblings roughhousing if it was just the sister constantly going after Jiro. But the mom being the key instigator/abuser does make it less fun. That being said, I’d probably have a better time with it nowadays since I remember the fan service being pretty good.

I don’t remember as much of the show, but I remember that Subaru and Kanade were both pretty decent. I think what ended up making me approach the show with pessimism week-by-week was whenever they treated the domestic abuse that Jiro went through as a gag. I’d probably like the show more if his mom and sister didn’t have as many jokes attached to their characters.

The Soul Society is currently going through rapid population growth and they still operate off of a draconian caste system where you can be poor in the afterlife. Because of this, more budgeting has been set aside to go directly to the Squad Captains than funding the Bleach anime’s continuation.

Realistically speaking, Amazon or Hulu are probably the only two that would be able to make some kind of use out of their catalogue. They might be too expensive for HiDive to swallow up and the other streaming sites are either too centered around their TV channel’s respective programming (HBO, CBS/Universal, NBC/Peacock) or have no direct incentive to adopt a catalogue that huge and full of seasonal shows.

I was half-expecting that it was going to be NiN’s “Closer” and that it involved a candidate going the Joe Exotic route of making a campaign ad that outlines their personal life and personal grudges in a field or ranch.

But how else will Blanche Devereaux give us such riveting stories about her sexual conquests?

Their strategy of clogging up the parking lot when it’s crowded and people would literally kill each other for a parking space sounds like a winning strategy.

I can see Toonami/Adult Swim animé that’s been compiled over the years getting dumped onto HBO Max to try to build interest in the platform. But as long as cable TV is still lucrative for Turner Broadcasting, they’ll probably stick with it for the long haul until they deem it more expensive to acquire new licensed shows.
