I always thought I hated gothic rock. I just watched a youtube video claiming that the first band ever to be labeled "gothic rock" was The Doors. I listen to mostly metal music. But The Doors are by far and away my favorite non metal band, and they have been since around 1999. So I love the granddaddy of granddaddy's of gothic rock, but I hate the rest of it? Gothic metal is another matter, I dig some gothic metal but gothic rock and gothic metal aren't related that much.

The fixation youtubers have on the new Snow White movie is kind of astonishing. The many angry frothing at the mouth reviews on youtube are the only reason I know this movie exists.
