  1. I don't think much about it either, but I don't really get in situations that have superstitions attached to them. Including black cats running across my path. Maybe you see black cats all the time. Maybe you even own one or more. I don't know. And that last statement makes it sound like you think that I believe in superstitions. Like this one. The only superstition I would say I believe in, if you can call it that, is karma (at least how the typical white American knows of it). This was meant to be an amusing thread, not a serious one.
  2. I don't care to click that to find out, and maybe it's just because most of her body isn't visible in the thumbnail, but.... Holy fuck did she lose a SHIT TON of weight since first becoming famous? When I first heard of her in junior high or high school or whatever, she was very morbidly obese. Her face looks very thin in the thumbnail.
  3. Reminds me of when in the early - mid 2010s I saw job postings from Blockbuster Video. Like, wtf?
  4. You blew the opportunity to say "....which means.... Jeffrey Epstein did not kill himself."
  5. Dear God I hope with every fiber of my being this is 100% true. It's plausible as The Far Side is very popular in the scientific community. But this also seems like something someone could've randomly come up with for the lols. (I know the actual Far Side pic is real, I remember that panel, but I do not know if the bottom portion is real).
  6. You gave yourself warning points?
  7. I'm not much of a Tool fan, but I can take a pretty wild guess at what Pink Floyd song you have in mind. Dammit nabs beat me to it.
  8. I hope he's not playing any kitty sports.
  9. Don't let that change your perception of the actual contents of the album though. I swear to you it's awesome. The story goes the band were all drunk when they chose the cover. *shrug*
  10. Oh, also, @GuyBeardmane you may come across the original banned cover artwork for Virgin Killer. Just letting you mentally prepare for that. The vast majority of pressings of the album have a benign picture of the band.
  11. Glad I could help. 😀The sound they had on Lonesome Crow only lasted for that one album. Their next album, Fly to the Rainbow, sounded completely different, but no less awesome. Their next album, In Trance begins to show what the Scorpions would become, but it still has plenty of Hendrix-isms from Uli Jon Roth. Virgin Killer is more or less a continuation of what they developed on In Trance, but I think Virgin Killer is the better album of the two. In Trance ain't no slouch though, and has some of their best songs. Their last album before Matthias Jabs joined, Taken By Force, seems to be the most popular Scorpions album from fans of this period of the band, but it's my least favorite from this period, the only one I don't love. Because of prevailing opinion, I urge you to look into that one too.
  12. @GuyBeardmane Scorpions is one of my all time favorite bands, but mainly for their 1972 - 1976 material. Are you familiar with any of that stuff? For me Klaus' best vocal performance (in the studio anyway) goes all the way back to their 1972 debut...
  13. I'm not gonna click on any of these, but the thumbnail on the Jonas Bros. one shows one of them playing an electric guitar. That's a good sign, at least.
  14. Hey, I'm the same height!
  15. I'll take your word for it. lol
  16. I'm fat on the inside too. I'm also fat on the outside when my lifestyle is sedentary, but I have a job that's always got me moving, so I'm pretty thin right now.
  17. The question I have is did you accidentally kick your own nuts in a botched crane kick attempt, or did your opponent fight dirty?
  18. "Fucking gingers.... all they do is sleep all day and cram lasagna down their throats." Get it? They're basing their racial stereotypes off Garfield....
  19. I'm actually not, I just thought this would make an amusing thread. lol
  20. I ain't throwing no salt. I'll think positive though. So positive, that I'm convinced that I'll be a-ok without even throwing salt over my shoulder.
  21. Too late for what? She may be pregnant from a one night stand and doesn't even plan on telling the baby daddy. Game on!
  22. Think of it this way: You've lived on the streets for some time, for what I understand, was your own volition, and you seemed to be ok with it. You stuck it out for a long time. The fear of living in the streets is what drives most people in our society to live how they don't want to live. Go to a shitty job 40+ hours a week then come home too tired to do anything but sleep. They don't see their loved ones enough. They don't get enough sleep. They can't buy the things they want to buy. They can't spend their time doing the pursuits they want to be doing. All for the fear of living in the streets. But you've lived on the streets so long already, you know you can survive. You lived that way (if I'm not mistaken) largely by choice for several years. If things right now don't work out, what's the worst that's gonna happen? You gonna be on the streets again? You know you can live through that pretty easily. I hope I'm not being presumptuous about how hard being on the streets is / was / will be again for you.
