It’s 9am, I’m drunk, and making pasta
Doom Metal Alchemist replied to ITasteLikeSex's topic in Free-For-All
Good. Strictly speaking about TODAY I worked from midnight to 4:30 AM (my shift started 6:00 PM last night), but now it's my weekend so everything's cool. -
Why do people not know basic traffic laws
Doom Metal Alchemist replied to Swimmod_Luna's topic in Free-For-All
Around here it's not like everybody does that, but there's always SOME asshole doing that and holding everyone up. What I really fucking hate is when there's three lanes, the guy in the far right lane is going exactly the speed limit (that's ok), the guy in the middle lane is going like two miles over the speed limit, and the guy in the far left lane is going 5 miles BELOW the speed limit. RAAAAAAAAAAAAGE. And this is late at night / early in the morning when there's hardly anyone on the road. RAAAAAAAAAAAAGE. I don't know what it is about late night / early morning where people think it's acceptable to go slow as all fuck in any lane but the slow lane, but they do. -
Today has probably marked my last time eating at BK

You seem to just know what to order for the best value. McDonald's has this thing where you get a 20 piece nuggets for $5. Great value. They have this thing were you get any drink (except maybe coffee? I actually have no idea about that) any size for $1.00. Great value, especially if you get large. However, I remember when a "value meal" at McDonald's cost $3.00 and some change. Now it's more like $7.00 or $8.00 and some change, just like the other places. And last I saw the dollar menu at McDonald's everything on it cost $2.00 and some change. I think they did away with dollar menu and started calling it "the value menu" because I guess they couldn't in good conscious call it "the dollar menu" when everything on it cost $3.00 and some change, which last I looked everything does (and these are not combos, mind you). And BK has similar deals to the ones you get at McDonald's as I posted above. They also have 10 nuggets for like $1.69. Mix and match any 2 sandwiches for $6.00 as someone else above mentioned. Although I don't know how much value that adds once you buy the drink. And Wendy's has the 4 for $4.00 (I'm a big fan of that, but Wendy's isn't very close to where I live), and Carl's Jr. has the $5 big boxes I think they're called? But just about any place you go to get a traditional "value meal" / "combo" you're going to pay $8 - $9 and some change. -
That's definitely understandable.

Ok, yeah, I see it now. "WHAT IS THIS? A WORD FOR ANTS?"

It's not just BK, McDonald's and Jack in the Box too. -
I never bothered to get any of their albums, but they were way better than the vast majority of rock that was popular when they came out, judging by that lead single.

Some girl from another office just threw up in the hallway

I'm not a big fan of humungously pregnant bellies, but boobs swollen with milk? Sign me up! -
What part(s) of your body did it touch? If I walked my face into a spider web I would be forever traumatized. If it got bare skin anywhere else, I'd probably be hella grossed out for a while, but ok. If just got on my clothes, I'd just be mildly disappointed that my clothes got that dirty.

I don't think much about it either, but I don't really get in situations that have superstitions attached to them. Including black cats running across my path. Maybe you see black cats all the time. Maybe you even own one or more. I don't know. And that last statement makes it sound like you think that I believe in superstitions. Like this one. The only superstition I would say I believe in, if you can call it that, is karma (at least how the typical white American knows of it). This was meant to be an amusing thread, not a serious one.

this place better be fucking worth it fuggs
Doom Metal Alchemist replied to Naraku4656's topic in Free-For-All
I don't care to click that to find out, and maybe it's just because most of her body isn't visible in the thumbnail, but.... Holy fuck did she lose a SHIT TON of weight since first becoming famous? When I first heard of her in junior high or high school or whatever, she was very morbidly obese. Her face looks very thin in the thumbnail. -

Reminds me of when in the early - mid 2010s I saw job postings from Blockbuster Video. Like, wtf? -
You blew the opportunity to say "....which means.... Jeffrey Epstein did not kill himself."

Dear God I hope with every fiber of my being this is 100% true. It's plausible as The Far Side is very popular in the scientific community. But this also seems like something someone could've randomly come up with for the lols. (I know the actual Far Side pic is real, I remember that panel, but I do not know if the bottom portion is real).

Your top 3 metal singers??
Doom Metal Alchemist replied to That_One_Guy's topic in Arts, Literature & Music
Don't let that change your perception of the actual contents of the album though. I swear to you it's awesome. The story goes the band were all drunk when they chose the cover. *shrug* -

Oh, also, @GuyBeardmane you may come across the original banned cover artwork for Virgin Killer. Just letting you mentally prepare for that. The vast majority of pressings of the album have a benign picture of the band. -

Glad I could help. 😀The sound they had on Lonesome Crow only lasted for that one album. Their next album, Fly to the Rainbow, sounded completely different, but no less awesome. Their next album, In Trance begins to show what the Scorpions would become, but it still has plenty of Hendrix-isms from Uli Jon Roth. Virgin Killer is more or less a continuation of what they developed on In Trance, but I think Virgin Killer is the better album of the two. In Trance ain't no slouch though, and has some of their best songs. Their last album before Matthias Jabs joined, Taken By Force, seems to be the most popular Scorpions album from fans of this period of the band, but it's my least favorite from this period, the only one I don't love. Because of prevailing opinion, I urge you to look into that one too.
