For me it depends. Inputing the code in Mega Man X for all the armor upgrades seems like it it would take a lot of the fun out of it. As for walkthroughs I don't have anything against them at all, but I probably wouldn't bother unless I'm just stuck to the point of all the fun being sucked out of it so like, "fuck this I gotta use a walkthrough."

It's funny because the original concept of musicians "selling out" had nothing to do with changing their sound or trying to find a wider audience. It was about musicians using their music to sell products, such as being used in a TV commercial for a car.

There's a popular myth that Black Sabbath got a ton heavier when they started tuning down from standard E to C#, BECAUSE of this tuning. I call bullshit. While Master of Reality, their first album recorded in C# tuning, has basically the heaviest guitar tone in the universe, and the next album Volume 4, mostly follows suit, the two albums after, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Sabotage, have much lighter guitar tones, despite still being in C# tuning. Master of Reality's massive guitar tone might have SOMETHING to do with the detuning, but it definitely isn't the whole story.
