No. The case should not be dismissed at this time. Under the circumstances, with the ratchetting up of violent rhetoric by the 'accused' as well as the attempts at what can literally only be called attempts to obstruct justice, any dropping of anything would be seen as vindication of said behaviors. You do that and they'll just keep doing that. It might have been a misdemeanor, but not anymore. The most Princess Tinyhands and his merry band of morons can hope for is that this gets delayed a bit. But there are other, bigger things waiting to bite his ass and quite frankly, the current behavior does not bode well for any gentle handling in those future cases.

Like you had already pointed out, he built houses for poor people. Physically. It wasn't a photo op, he wasn't on Instagram posing with a hammer mid-swing for likes. Sometimes he would just show up and people didn't even know he was going to be part of things. And he did it until he couldn't do it anymore. No matter what any other former President attempts, unless they are physically in the background somewhere quietly building houses for poor people with no thoughts of publicity, it won't be Jimmy Carter level.

The trouble with blanket deregulations is that all the things that would have at least hinted at shit before it turned to shit were gone and done so in favor of those people that ended up running things into the ground while taking off with as much cash for themselves as they could. Knowing that they were going to be tested would have forced them to either not be garbage in the first place or scramble to fix things to pass. And you can only scramble so much before someone notices that things are slipping.

Some people are just the worst. Considering how 'hot' the rental market is right now, there should be no problem finding another renter in the area which is usually the excuse given for why people can't break lease. Then again, considering the whole 'never even read' thing going on, if there's any issues with getting new renters, it's probably 100% on that person.
