ND is a 'Constitutional Carry' state. There are now no longer any rules for who can carry, no registrations, no safety class requirements. I agree with the sentiment. I just don't want anyone walking into those photos not even realizing that yep, they are there and no one is going to blur jack right now. I saw plenty of what happens to a human body from guns in the early 00's but I never saw a child until today. And they don't have to change the Constitution, they just need to learn to read the damn thing. 2A isn't a cart-blanche 'everyone gets one!' declaration. It's for a well-regulated militia and militias are fleshed out in Article 1, Section 8. And nowhere does it say that everyone is entitled to the equivalent of a cannon which is what these military-grade weapons would be considered as in 1776.

Fox tends to censor things randomly sometimes. With American Dad, it depends a lot on which season is airing too. Earlier ones blur random things like middle fingers that fly just fine in later seasons. It also depends on when in the time slots something was originally airing too. If it was originally earlier, it was a pre-emptive censor to allow for kids still being up in early time zones.

The agriculture thing dates back to the turn of last century and was never updated as things progressed. Farm kids could be exempted from having to attend school if there was a harvest going on. I still remember there were kids in my class that could opt to be out of school during harvest. Now it's just 'extended' to migrant families in order to keep the kids around as extra hands. It was 18 when I was in the system. But I had a good caseworker that got me on some sort of list for a special fund to help poor little disowned waifs through to their 21st birthday pay for most of their textbooks as long as they were in college.

If you are in foster care and unadopted by age 18, you are basically turned out into the street. If you are lucky, you might qualify for some form of assistance to get housing or a job or something if you have a caseworker that isn't stretched thin but most places don't have the funds to help everyone that ages out. You are on your own.

In ND, we voted for term limits because it's just getting ridiculously inbred around here. The legislators rewrote and passed new bills that effectively made the voted mandate useless. We now have a 6 week abortion ban with no exceptions past that point for anyone. It was signed by Gov. Shithead because there's pretty much a supermax of GOP to veto his veto so now he just signs any stupid thing they pass to him [ Senate = R : 42, D : 3; House = R : 80, D : 14. Thanks gerrymandering. ]. There were entire debates in which no Dems were allowed to input anything.
