  1. “Quiet quitting” is the marketing/recruiting term/concept made up by the HR and hiring representatives for these same companies. It was designed to trick you/your brain into being guilty over doing just your job that you were hired for. The reason they coined it was because going above and beyond for no extra was an incentive to drive you to promotion and get extra labor from you. That has since worn out, especially since it was designed mostly to keep poor/POC spinning their wheels in lower-level jobs forever. As for me, I test the waters. I’ll go above and beyond for the honeymoon period to impress you. Then, if you don’t consider me for upper level stuff (or start taking advantage of me), I’ll pump the brakes on that bullshit FAST. I’m not a “Yes” Man, but I’ll continue giving extra for this who give some back to me. When the employers stop holding up their end, they start hearing “No” pretty quick.
  2. I used to like the outdoors as a kid, because I’d have fun and had a reason to go outside. I used to play basketball, soccer, volleyball, etc. outdoors. Also used to explore and discover things and free run. As I got older, I have hated being outside more and more. I still LIKE being outside, but only if I have a reason to. Like, going swimming or mowing or something that has some sort of destination/result attached. Otherwise, I stick indoors.
  3. I’m pretty sure it’s “Predator”….but what do I know?
  4. Yeah. Here in DFW has been hot as balls. Same for OKC. Same for Phoenix. I'm liking it, to a degree.
  5. You know what? I’m not mad at this. Agreed.
  6. Good luck.
  7. This beat has NO REASON to be so fire. NONE.
  8. I’d like a pair if they weren’t so muhfucking expensive.
  9. …….you know there’s plenty for free out there.
  10. It’s not that they don’t want one. It’s that there’s too much baggage/history/drama and bullshit here for it to work. It’s a great altruistic idea, but ultimately it fails because there’s not enough stability for it to be around.
  11. Congratulations. I hope that honeymoon lasts a long while for you. The next part is….you know what? I’m gonna let you discover that on your own.
  12. Yeah. That’s usually what happens to these things.
  13. Used to have a few people. 2 of them are no longer with us. I don’t really have a board buddy. I’m not as active here as I used to be. If someone wants/need to talk to me, they always can. I’m someone who is willing to listen and extend olive branches/hands/ears/help/compassion, regardless of history, creed, ideals, preferences, etc. There’s only 1 exception to this, but we don’t have to worry about that here, praise be to Cthulhu.
  14. As someone who does exactly these things (along with DJing said conventions): I don’t give two squirtsapiss about what the fuck he thinks. I'm going to continue enjoying my hobby, doing interesting things, meeting interesting people, and going places. He can stay there and slice meat. Fuck ‘EM.
  15. Meh…..they do have some healing properties….but that is only if you not battled Satan or heat stroke that day.
  16. This has never been more apropos.
  17. You know.....I thought the EXACT same thing.
  18. Yet…..not a single fuck was given that day.
