I rewatched episode 1 with my mom, and at the end she said, "I saw Catherine Zeta Jones in the credits, but where was she?" When I rewinded to her parts, she was surprised at not having recognized her. I've seen CZJ in a bunch of different costumes for films so I'll spot her in anything, but I was like, "Come on, Mom, no one else has that voice." Man I had a serious crush on her during her Zorro movie stint. It was nice watching the first episode again just because I really like that scene where Crawford and Davis are looking at their recorded scene together and that intense regret that starts to hit both of them. In episode 2, I wasn't surprised but still disappointed at how Bob contributed to the anger behind the scenes even after his wife let him know that real or not, those kind of rumors hurt everyone. It was kind of funny how much effort Crawford went to for her seduction attempt, and Davis doesn't even have to try. A lot of the speech by Davis's daughter was probably accurate about the motives behind Davis not letting her hang with the crew, but she lost me at people past their prime should just wither away on a shelf. One thing I didn't even know I cared so much about was Victor Buono being played well until his character popped up, and I was just grinning because of how much they nailed him. Oh and a special shout out to Hedda's yellow dress that I just adored and couldn't help thinking of Rita Skeeter from the Harry Potter books/movies.

The Michael Keaton movie or the carrot rape one?

I hate how all it takes is sleeping the wrong way for my back to be fucked up. All my extra money is going to my last health emergency and taxes, so I really don't need another reason to visit the ER.

It's the ice, not snow that shuts down Georgia. Atlanta wasn't so bad this last winter because a lot of roads were treated properly there, but pretty much the rest of the state has to wait for the ice to melt on its own.

One of the few benefits of living in Georgia is that we have a decent Mexican and Korean population, so we have a bunch of Korean style taquerias. I'm too lazy when it comes to attempting my own because I have access to so many folks who do it well.

Of course people who fly the Confederate flag aren't racist, and they'll be the first ones to tell you that as you side-eye the Trump/Pence decal on the back of their truck. He scared the shit out of me until I saw Dream Warriors and actually dreamed about kicking his ass. The only dreams that have freaked me out since then were Clive Barker style nightmares brought on by forgetting anti-depressant doses, or the being trapped in Hell ones.

There's something about Lange's cheekbones that are so unlike Crawford's face that her acting isn't good enough to distract me from it. Sarandon has most of Davis's key facial shapes, so her getting Davis's attitude down too really makes me watch her more in scenes that she shares with Lange.

Neither did I. Watching it live went out the window because I was helping my mom unpack since she had gotten home from a trip to Indiana that night. I did catch the rerun at 1. The show feels like a slow burn to chaos unfolding, but I'm good with that because a lot of folks our generation and younger don't really know what Hollywood behind the scenes was like back then. I had forgotten that Bette Davis was one of the bigger actors who started suing movie studios for their fucked up contracts.

This post and the one about deleting a ton of words are stressing me out just thinking about them. God, and I forgot how my parents bricked their last computer. I was supposed to look at it, but I might have mentally blocked it from my to-do list.

I feel bad about my rant. It's 70 something outside, so now I have to worry about the bees zipping around.

Jumping off a skyscraper. Human error doesn't beat gravity when you're up that high. Also, if I have any doubts, I might change my mind on the way up. If not, I got a nice view on the way down. It's been a long time since I've considered suicide, but if I seriously contemplate it again, I don't want any fuck-ups that'll give me more health issues.

She is so confident in being her weird self that I'm just thankful that she exists. And don't even get me started on her clothes because she is a walking scifi/fantasy book cover wherever she goes.
