mochi Posted April 30, 2017 Author Posted April 30, 2017 What's wrong? nothing important just the typical "everyone on this site thinks I'm an asshole cause I point out homophobia in works of fiction" thing also I had several glasses of wine and I'm a sad drunk (I've sobered slightly since making this thread)

I didn;t even think about you maybe taking a certain word in that post as condescending, damn my bad, I am an insensitive fuck I'll admit that much.. Though if that was offensive to you it was only out of sheer ignorance on my part

Liquor stores have to close at 9pm and aren't open on Sundays, also the points don't matter.
PhilosipherStoned Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 The points don't matter? elaborate. If I wanted more water in my beer I'd move to OK, but I believe I still manage to stay hydrated enough without putting it in my beer.

We just started offering beer abouve 3.2 in convenience and grocery stores....But yeah, no liquor on Sunday.......Which is ok with me, I'm not drinking today.
Codename: Jackass Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Sounds like you need a hugbox to validate all your feelings.

Sawdamizer Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 Try sucking a bunch of gay dudes dicks, that might help.

Wow, I forget that some states make you go to the liquor store for beer that can actually get you drunk. I thought TN was behind everyone except Utah because we only just recently allowed wine and beer above 6% to be sold in grocery stores. Meanwhile in Cali you can literally get a shot of whiskey from a free sample lady at Walmart.

Lol, Cali, the land of milk and honey When I was in Vegas I loved how you can get hard liquor at the local CVS NY don't play that. Best you'll get is Boonesberry Farms slightly alcoholinated kool aid >
Greeny Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 "everyone on this site thinks I'm an asshole cause I point out homophobia in works of fiction" I don't think anyone thinks you're an asshole. You seem to have this perception that most straight people hate gays, and a lot of the things you complain about being homophobic actually aren't. Portraying a gay character in a negative or stereotypical way isn't necessarily homophobic or hateful. Insensitive? Maybe. Ignorant? Possibly. Politically incorrect? Sure. I get the feeling that you don't get out much and most of your time is spent on the internet actively looking for things that are homophobic. When you do that, the whole world is going to seem anti-gay because that's what you surround yourself with. This isn't an insult by any means; I think you just need to get out more and expose yourself to "real people". I think you'll find that most of them don't care about your or anyone else's sexual preferences. And even if they do care, it isn't necessarily because of hatred. Most of us have much more important things to worry about.
MEXobiologist Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 i mean, i sometimes disagree with things you say in a general way but by no means do i think you're an asshole, hate you.... or even dislike you. you're just you mochi hope you don't have a hangover today!
Top Gun Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 You could always live in PA, where you can't get hard liquor and (except for very recent developments) wine outside of state-run stores--which don't also sell beer mind you, actual beer distributors were only allowed to sell half/full cases up until a few months ago, restaurants with liquor licenses are only allowed to sell you two carry-out 6-packs at a time, and everything's more expensive than it needs to be! Oh, and there's still a tax on alcohol established to raise funds for disaster relief for a flood that happened in 1936.
