viperxmns Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Hearing about him passing is one thing, but his wife and dog at the same time? What? 1 Quote
[classic swim] Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Behind Enemy Lines was the only thing from him that I saw. Didn’t know he was almost on Brady Bunch. Quote

I mean, they auto said it wasn’t suspicious so you can put the magnifying glass down, Sherlock. even Hackman’s daughter said she suspects carbon monoxide poisoning 1 3 Quote

All initial reports saying the death wasn’t suspicious might’ve not been exactly true. There is still no indication that anyone harmed them but it seems like they’re implying Hackman maybe suddenly died and then the wife took pills. Maybe the dog ate some as they were scattered on the counter went into its kennel and died. Two other dogs were found alive looks like I’m the asshole. @Master-Debater131 get back in here w your magnifying glass and unique brain. 😆 4 Quote
katt_goddess Posted February 27 Posted February 27 1 hour ago, Jman said: They found pills at the scene. At a certain age, pills in and of themselves mean nothing. But space heaters can have issues. And that would have taken out the dog in the room too. If it's on a timer, it could run long enough to do damage, then turn off and the fumes would dissipate. First thing I thought of when I heard this this morning was carbon monoxide poisoning. Quote
Jman Posted February 27 Posted February 27 (edited) We’re not going to know more until the autopsy, but they are apparently ruling out monoxide poisoning. Then again, the heater may have done it. Still horrible. Edited February 27 by Jman 3 Quote
viperxmns Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Man if it turns out being 95 wasn't what did Gene Hackman in that's all sorts of fucked up 2 2 Quote

Im still leaning toward some sort of environmental thing. Accidental pills might do it as well. They havent said anything about violence, so I dont think it was a home intrusion gone wrong. CO makes a ton of sense, its an easy way to die if you dont have working detectors. Or, and hear me out, 3 Quote
tsar4 Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Different sites are reporting pieces that the rest aren't. It isn't gas, but wait, it could have been monoxide, that maybe dissipated. They were found in different rooms. Hackman by an open door. Weird, if it was gas, he was right by fresh air. She was found in the bathroom with an open bottle of pills scattered about & the dead dog was shut in the bathroom closet. Two other dogs were fine, they had a dog door - but one, if I understand this right, was in a crate. 2 Quote
katt_goddess Posted February 28 Posted February 28 The report I heard was that the landscaper called it in because he saw them through the window and they weren't moving. When the cops got there, he was found in the mudroom, she was found in the bathroom where there were spilled pills and the space heater on the floor. The dog was locked in a crate. And they had all been dead for awhile, perhaps weeks, which is why they aren't sure of all the things. Theory is that maybe one of them fell first and was unable to get up when the other might have fallen. Neither were able to get up to get help for the other. But the decomposition is going to make it hard to just go yep with anything at this time. 1 Quote
1pooh4u Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Reports are saying they were dead for several days possibly up to a couple of weeks. How does none of their family or friends try to contact them for weeks? 1 Quote

1pooh4u Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Reports are saying according to Hackman’s pacemaker he died on Feb 17 over a week before everyone was found 1 Quote
1pooh4u Posted Friday at 10:07 PM Posted Friday at 10:07 PM The mystery surrounding Gene Hackman’s death and his wife just gets sadder and sadder His wife died of a rare rodent virus, hantavirus, a full week before Hackman died. He died from complications of heart and Alzheimer’s disease. I cannot think of a sadder last few days than having your caregiver dead on the bathroom floor while wandering around, not feeding yourself and confused for an entire week 6 Quote
