For all three to die like this it had to be environmental, or some sort of violent act. And I feel like we would have heard something about a violent act by now.

I mean, they auto said it wasn’t suspicious so you can put the magnifying glass down, Sherlock.

even Hackman’s daughter said she suspects carbon monoxide poisoning

I was thinking about what could do that too, and for some reason CO didn’t come to mind.

They found pills at the scene.

Seems like they were dead more than a day. All initial reports saying the death wasn’t suspicious might’ve not been exactly true.  There is still no indication that anyone harmed them but it seems like they’re implying Hackman maybe suddenly died and then the wife took pills. Maybe the dog ate some as they were scattered on the counter went into its kennel and died. Two other dogs were found alive

looks like I’m the asshole. @Master-Debater131 get back in here w your magnifying glass and unique brain. 😆

At a certain age, pills in and of themselves mean nothing.

But space heaters can have issues. And that would have taken out the dog in the room too. If it's on a timer, it could run long enough to do damage, then turn off and the fumes would dissipate.

First thing I thought of when I heard this this morning was carbon monoxide poisoning.

We’re not going to know more until the autopsy, but they are apparently ruling out monoxide poisoning.  Then again, the heater may have done it.

Still horrible.

Im on it

And by on it, I mean I will throw wild speculation around.

Im still leaning toward some sort of environmental thing. Accidental pills might do it as well. They havent said anything about violence, so I dont think it was a home intrusion gone wrong. CO makes a ton of sense, its an easy way to die if you dont have working detectors.

Or, and hear me out,

Different sites are reporting pieces that the rest aren't.  It isn't gas, but wait, it could have been monoxide, that maybe dissipated.  They were found in different rooms.  Hackman by an open door.  Weird, if it was gas, he was right by fresh air.  She was found in the bathroom with an open bottle of pills scattered about & the dead dog was shut in the bathroom closet.  Two other dogs were fine, they had a dog door - but one, if I understand this right, was in a crate.

The report I heard was that the landscaper called it in because he saw them through the window and they weren't moving. When the cops got there, he was found in the mudroom, she was found in the bathroom where there were spilled pills and the space heater on the floor. The dog was locked in a crate. And they had all been dead for awhile, perhaps weeks, which is why they aren't sure of all the things.

Theory is that maybe one of them fell first and was unable to get up when the other might have fallen. Neither were able to get up to get help for the other. But the decomposition is going to make it hard to just go yep with anything at this time.

How does none of their family or friends try to contact them for weeks?

Many a grandparent has asked the same thing about their families.  Meanwhile, CO poisoning has been ruled out.
