The move came hours after President Trump pledged to rename the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America during his inaugural address, re-upping a proposal he floated during a wide-ranging press conference earlier this month at his Palm Beach resort.

“A short time from now, we are going to be changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the ‘Gulf of America,’ and we will restore the name of a great president, William McKinley, to ‘Mount McKinley,’ where it should be and where it belongs,” Trump said shortly after being sworn in, referring to the Alaska mountain now known as Denali. 

 

i'm absolutely dumbfounded, seeing it in print. 

i mean...yes, it was touted the past year...but....to see it, literally crumble. and i don't mean just this. withdrawing from WHO, PCA, etc., i mean....

truly truly surreal.

Not the first time their CEO has been trying to excuse Musk's behavior, so it's not too surprising... actually what am I saying? Yes it is! It's a friggin' Nazi salute! How does an organization led by the grandson of a holocaust survivor react to something like that saying we shouldn't see it for exactly what it is? I mean... I black myself out for just 24 hours, come back to see this bull shit. I knew we were taking a sharp turn onto the highway to hell, but I was kind of hoping we'd at least be taking the scenic route. Instead it doesn't even look like we're taking the time to stop for snacks.

Idk how surprised we should be. They also labeled people as “antisemites” for being against the war in Gaza.

Day 2 of the Trusk, or Mump administration and there’s another barrage of EOs. Me thinks I’m going to start ignoring those because most of them are definitely theatre. Ending birthright citizenship, renaming the Gulf of Mexico, none of that shit is going to stick.
