Musk is next

Musk will probably quit when he finds out he’s not surrounded by yes men to tell him all his ideas are great. Dude melted down after what should’ve been predictable questions from Don Lemon.

I regret to inform you a right-winger with over 50,000 followers said something comically dumb on social media:

Wait, so if the Chairman of the Federal Reserve can’t be fired and isn’t elected, who is he accountable to?

Maybe this is why Zelensky was allegedly relieved when they spoke earlier.  It’s like Trump ran on giving the crazies voices and suddenly wants to govern like a regular neocon.  Make it make sense!

War with Iran may be on the horizon.

With Trump giving Netanyahu free rein to level the place, it seems the chances of an incident on American soil will shoot up and he will need someone serious in positions that deal with that. I doubt most Republicans have become stupid enough they don’t think they need a serious person in there.

We'll see what happens. I'm still incredibly skeptical he'd ever dare do anything to go against what Putin wants in the end, but it doesn't surprise me there'd be talk like this after him speaking with Zelensky simply because Zelensky cares about his people and knows full well that if you kiss up and flatter the jerk enough you can get him to change his mind on just about anything. Problem is, it's whoever has his ear last and offers him whatever he sees of most personal value to him that's gonna be the one pulling the strings in the end, and Trump's got more to gain from having Putin on his side than he does Zelensky.

Makes me really wonder why he’s doing this again

My baseless conspiracy theory given the sheer amount of neocons in his cabinet is that the GOP promised him the rehab tour and get out of jail free card in exchange for essentially ceding any real power to the establishment.

And that’s the least bad option.  A return to Dubya style neo-conservatism.

Oh boy these next 4 years are really going to be something considering they control every branch of government including the judicial branch. Maybe they don’t control the house but it looks like probably they will

I’m sorry you’re going to have to excuse me. I’m vomiting over Pompeo and Nikki Haley being on his cabinet

Haley is back on the boards because she was the only one that could get his pants to not show the diaper before he'd go in front of the media and shit himself.

I'm waiting to see Burgum get the brush off he deserves. He's supposedly in the running for 'a half dozen' different cabinet positions which honestly translates for me as 'you have no real obvious skills at anything so we'll list a bunch of crap to see if you'll give piggy shitzenpants more money before we forget you actually exist'.

Remember the Inflation Reduction Act and its attempts to respond to climate change? Most of the economic investments went to Republican districts and states on purpose due to the theory that Republicans would be unwilling to end them if they regained power. That was actually pretty smart, and I hope Republicans are successfully tricked into keeping the investments.

Yes, I am terrified that I have to ask this about the US.

Yeah I've been discussing this elsewhere but a lot needs to happen for Trump to be able to enact any of his promises

The best case scenario is he knows this and does little except for show.

The worst thing we can do now is just assume this means everything will immediately go to hell. There's still hope even now

Things will def get worse before they get better (assuming people are concerned about such things). There are no adults left in his orbit willing to tell him no, so they are only limited by their own incompetence and (hopefully) a willingness to litigate everything.

Care to share what you've learned about this? I'm genuinely curious.

Things will get worse, but, at the state level, it will force Democrats to get innovative

Honestly a lot of what he wants to be done involves getting all of Congress on board for stuff like the tariffs which will also get a lot of corporate backlash

And the mass deportations will only work if all of the states comply and obviously the blue states won't and the GOP has done a lot to give states more power. That doesn't just apply to the red states

It’s amazing that Vance sees nothing wrong with threatening other countries for the way they choose to regulate how the internet is used and because it hurts Musk. That’s so pathetically pathetic

first order of business, after he pardons himself, is gonna be tariffs on china and other countries. the tariff thing will not work out the way they think it will, and it will accelerate inflation. the hope is to bring back companies to the US but that seems almost impossible this day and age.

immigration situation will be given attention to almost immediately. ramp up on deportations kicking people out of their homes. this we will all need to fight and support our immigrants. by we, of course im talking about all forces on the left.

i think russia/ukraine peace deal could be in the mix early but this remains uncertain. he wants to get out of that war, and the writing has been on the wall for quite a while so would make sense to end it now instead of keeping it going. but depending on which war hawk joins his party, they might insist on keeping this going. of course, trump will try to use this to get russia to turn against china, but that wont work since both countries have a very close relationship these days.

middle east situation is gonna be a green light for israel to do anything they want. most likely seeing an escalation with more provocations towards iran and other resistance forces.

latin america will also be under immense pressure. cuba, venenzuela and haiti will be facing more coupe attempts and other forms of destabilization.

bolton and pompeo were the worst of the bunch. but don't worry, his other nominations are gonna be just as repulsive.

are  we discussing what we're going to do yet?

i mean...for me. coursera has a free course in grant writing. that's my 1st step. and actually try to find grants to help the community. SPECIFICALLY my black community. so many DID NOT vote, because they got their info fed to them by the same smiling white folks buying up all the blue bracelets and making videos of shaving their heads...in solidarity.

the problem with ALL of that. they can remove that bracelet, and grow out their hair. my darker sisters are already shook.

my MEXICAN LOOKING ASS ---- NOT MEXICAN, is sitting here wating on the neighbors to try to come up on the jan 21st.

everyone around here thinks i'm hispanic. because of my racist old boss and her racist brother. but i fucking digress.

am i over reacting? i certainly hope fucking not.

I hope Rubio is correct here and would support him getting some appointment just so he might have influence on Trump.

get your head out your ass. stop it. stop it. just stop.

rubio has been passing. he's been snuggling up to the whiteness for a while.

look. look...read this very carefully.

tom homan is coming for those people. 5 minutes ago, 5 months ago, 5 years ago...as far back as possible, THEY are hoping all the way back to 2012 and get that DACA shit right off the table.

THEN they are coming for those that don't LOOK right...from beyond 2012..citenship under false pretenses (looking at your boy musky musk)

THEN...once they've gotten all those dirtly little mexicans, and LOUD hispanics from all the places, strange little DR and beyond....

the real fun stuff begins.

reversing LOVING v VIRGINIA (this is where i get anxious), making sURE that women will have those babies.

instead of using your "education and intellect" to give us your power point, armchair stats. how about you go  out in your community and see what you can do to help.

The vow was deporting millions almost immediately, not just a handful. And they've already declared that literally everyone here who is 'undocumented' is a criminal and that the military will be used to round those 'criminals' up.

The Orange Clown probably won't even realize the actual extent of his stupidity until he flies into Mar-A-Lago for his third overpriced golf vacation of the month on the taxpayers' dime and all the help is gone.

That Marco Rubio, if he’s one thing, it’s trustworthy.

He still wants to be president one day so I expect him to be watching out for himself. I’ve heard he’s been referred to as a “ratifier” because he will apparently throw anyone under the bus if he think it benefits him. He’ll be a good barometer for how much chaos is going on behind the scenes.

I think the next big thing is going to be watching who replaces Rubio and Vance and how the special elections go without Trump on the ballot.

I guess it's safe to assume that the time to pretend to care about pets is officially over.

I'd feel sorry for all the idiots that ran out to spend time and money on 'P'Nut' merch but most of those thought $100 for a hat made in China for ten cents on behalf of a so-called billionaire was a very good deal.

Oh yeah, I'm waiting for all the usual purges to start again and I wonder if genders and heritage are going to be blamed out loud this time.

Very best people and all that.
