If you're gonna blame Letterman like that, you might as well blame all of Hollywood. They were perfectly fine with him making frequent appearances in all sorts of awards shows, talk shows, etc.

Master-Debater131
POTUS changing the constitution via Tweet sure is an interesting precedent to attempt to set right as Trump is coming into office. Its absolutely meaningless because its fairly settled law that this amendment isnt ratified, and would need to start from scratch if its supporters want to make it an actual amendment. But is sure is amusing watching the people who have been warning us about the collapse of democracy applaud this move.

Joking about "Hey, can you get me a NBC Peacock rug for the stage?" (I think he did the same with Lee Iacocca, asking for a GE logo rug). He's always said he didn't like the guy, but kept on giving him viewership for a total of 30 shows. Yes, the rest of the media got on the bandwagon and someone thought - "Hey, let's give this guy a show!", but without Letterman he wouldn't have had as much visibility and those things may not have happened.

He is responsible for 1/4th of the debt and did that in 4 years. And he's already said that he won't be lowering groceries after all because it's too hard and said that he wouldn't touch Medicare/Medicaid/Social Security but now those are the first things on his chopping block list because he wants to make it permanently illegal to tax the rich.
