My complaint is that he starts wearing his traditional red and blue suit with his long hair. For a while he wore a black suit when he came back from the dead before he went back to the red and blue.

I would have kept the black suit longer.

I have a tendency to dream up elaborate revenge plots for every perceived slight that people may or may not commit against me.

I don’t mean anything violent, though. I’m not a complete monster…..yet.

You know what?  Me too.

"The world should burn for what it has allowed to happen to Palestine and Lebanon." - a tweet from today

Do people who say shit like this not recognize that wars have been occurring for all of human history? Like, what does this person know about the Darfur War (2003-2020)?

People who dislike sarcasm tend to be on a certain spectrum.

I think it's gotten excessive, to the point it's hard to tell what people really mean anymore. In other words, a bad form of communication.

Sarcasm is fine, but it's often misused by people who perhaps think they're evading consequences for abhorrent behavior.  Like the literary device it's built on, It's supposed to be (1) directed at ideas rather than people and (2) within a proper context.  These are the same people who don''t know how use "irony" correctly.

To be fair, if I'm being sarcastic, I'm done communicating and just trying to insult you into leaving me alone.

I'm pretty sure everyone is cool with the lovable Buddy brand of sarcasm and not the obtuse catturd brand of sarcasm.

What I find underwhelming about Yakuza is how it’s a whole franchise centered on a specific criminal organization rarely used in American titles, and the gunplay either isn’t there or isn’t good.

The fighting style isn’t what I’d want for that series and it’s the one mainstay.

Localization isn't all about accuracy to the source material. That's not the primary goal. It should be kept in mind, but localizing is making it accessible to a different locale. That's what it's called, and liberties will always be necessary.

I'm having a conversation with someone so pretentious they would complain about how they want what the origin got but in English bevause "if I wanted to buy a western artist's work, I would." Bro, you're buying a translation. That's a western artist's work!

I'd rather have a less accurate version that fixes problems or gives bland writing some personality. Some people genuinely want worse work out of arbitrary purity tests. I'm not suggesting to disregard the source, but it's a different person's interpretation. It's going to be different, and if they don’t implement some personality of their own, it's often going to come out without one in translation.

Will Ferrell is funny when he's in a supporting role, like the CEO in Barbie and the father in The Oblongs. But when he's the main character, like in Elf or that god awful Talladega Nights, he's so insufferable.

Maybe this isn't that unpopular of an opinion.

I don't know this one is unpopular or not but it's too early for Christmas decorations to be put out on Town squares and also Thanksgiving is better than Christmas and Halloween combined and too early for Christmas ads and commercials and beer definitely beer and too early to start complaining about snow

I joke that Christmas doesn't start until Santa shows up at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade because I am a 60 year old 36 year old.

Yes

and also Thanksgiving is better than Christmas and Halloween combined

On it's own merits I don't think I have a problem with this.... However, my work gets Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off, which for me turns a five day work week into a three day work week. Thanksgiving on the other hand, doesn't effect my schedule as I never work Thursdays anyway. I almost wanted to say Halloween is better, but the Thanksgiving feast beats Halloween candy for sure.

Are you saying it's too early for beer...?

It's not too early if its already snowing. So if it hasn't started snowing in your area yet, then I would agree.

I actually agree with you here. I’ve only had sushi once. I didn’t hate it by any stretch of the word, but I don’t know that I would ever try it again.

I still really like sushi. It's just there are so many other foods that are better. Cooked seafood is better. I really want to eat bouillabaisse one day again.
