The early vote isn't indicative of anything results-wise (beyond that votes are already being banked) until we have election day results in too. We just don't have a lifetime of data/patterns so say it means anything specific beyond spitballing.

I cast my 3 put options against Trump Media & Technology Group Corp this morning at a $30 strike price.

It's since gone up 7 points.

Pinch me I'm in Hell.

Give it some time

I'm very angry Rogan endorsed Trump at the last minute. It'll definitely impact the vote among the "idiot young guys" demographic which is large. Hopefully Harris knows what she's doing

I mean, did he really need to endorse him...Rogan fans are pretty much unapologetically Trumphuffers...at least all the ones I know are.

Yeah and I suspect that's why Harris ended up not agreeing to his terms of going to his studio. She'd rather reach the people in the swing states directly than take a gamble on an audience who probably won't vote for her anyway

any bets on when Trump declares himself the winner of the election?  Is Vegas taking book on that?  There’s probably zero chance that Trump doesn’t unilaterally declare himself the winner at some point tonight regardless of the results

I am nervous about this election it’s going to be close

I think Kamala will win by a larger margin than 2024, and I am prepared to eat my words if I'm wrong.

I hope so.

I have two bottles on standby right now: champagne (as in French champagne from France) and vodka. I hope I get to drink the former.

May be doubling up on the anxiety medicine this morning, and taking other “medicine” this evening. I don’t like today already.

I took a couple of gummies on my way to work. No way I do this election completely sober.

Do you guys not love the anxiety?

I'm staying tuned in all day, I'm home, the kids home, we just making a day of it. Going to get a super burrito just in case they're illegal tomorrow.

But ridiculous rhetoric aside, yeah... I'm just morbidly interested.

If people are that stressed out about who is going to be elected President then its a very clear sign that the President has far too much power.

We needed stronger checks and balances on all sides.

This might be why some places are refusing to sell alcohol today.

Ma'am, the issue is that there is a giant idiot just waiting to exploit that power despite his limited knowledge of what it actually is.

With the last election, I was awake for two days straight before Biden won. I had a Stouffer’s Lasagna in the oven I could’ve burned to a crisp if I passed out, and then I saw Joe had won.

I just don’t have the energy for that shit again.

They wont sell alcohol?  That seems like an absolutely idiotic business decision. Feel like this would be right up there with Super Bowl Weekend for alcohol sales.

I'm reminded of that South Park episode where they go to the hospital after the election and everyone either partied to hard or tried to kill themselves.  Cant find the full clip right now though.

If he is this giant idiot, then how is he going to abuse the power?

This is the Bush Caused 9/11 shit all over again. Bush was simultaneously the biggest idiot in the world yet smart enough to pull off the most sophisticated conspiracy of all time.

Yeah, there's been people posting it online.  Apparently it's a safety concern.

Of course, I'm thinking of the South Park episode where during Christmas all the alcohol and drugs get restricted to prevent drunk driving, but the adults all refuse to drive while sober.

God it'd be nice to discuss South Park clips and not Trump and existential dread for a while.

Yeaaaaa, that actually makes sense.

That was one of the best episodes of that entire season. "Marijuana free Christmas Snow". The whole legalize it scene. Then Santa convincing Jesus to try the coke, only to find it super clean and a great high.

That was such a funny episode.

Butters mom driving around with her tits out.  That one hit super close to home just because of some shenanigans with the GF and snow.  I cried I was laughing so hard.

Oh, you want to engage today, well let's engage.

An idiot would send his supporters to storm the capitol, an idiot would start a rumor that legal immigrants were eating pets, an idiot would be guilty of 30 plus felonies and still cry foul. An idiot doesn't necessarily need to wield the power at hand to get bigger idiots to do his bidding.

But if you tell that idiot that he's the alleged leader of the free world, and the sheep bow to that narrative, then that's tantamount to an idiot abusing power. Power so flaccid yet so real that bigger idiots don't seem to understand how an idiot with power is dangerous.

All I'm saying is, don't be an idiot

Because all he has to do is act, as POTUS, the same as he has acted his entire life? He's thought he was above the law since the first time he was in diapers, and now with the SC saying any "official presidential act" is legal, with no real definition of what that actually entails, he would be literally above the law.

Sure sounds like there is far to much power in that position then.

Apparently you’ll be shocked by what the SCOTUS decided a few months back. I can never tell if you’re feigning ignorance or if you’re actually ignorant of a lot of things?

The Originalist justices decided that the founding fathers definitely never said anything about never falling under the rule of another king or being above the law anywhere at anytime ever.

The obvious answer is that beyond his own personal pet issues, he is the useful idiot.

Like the whole Project 2025 thing. I 100% believe him that he has no idea what it is or what's in it. But the people who wrote it are the career Republican policy staff who sit tight in think tanks until their party wins the White House again. It doesn't really matter whether he's heard of it, because they are the ones who will make all the decisions that don't filter up to him.

They just need someone to stamp approvals

Latter's not gonna be enough for the worst scenario. Everclear might be more beneficial.

I am still holding my breath, but what I've seen: Democratic Twitter is orgasming right now and one Trump supporter I follow just posted the Looney Tunes "That's All Folks" image.
