This is so clownish 🤡

We have here a 2016 Ben Carson Republican shaming a 1964 Goldwater Republican for not "fighting for the woman they love" by.....voting for the Democratic party LMAO.

That's not what "fighting" means, your piddling little voting ritual amounts to even less than all of the nothing you do politically all year long while waiting to spew your impotence into the voting booth.

The Dems have never fought for these women you love and they're going to get BTFO in November anyway...this entire tack is just repulsive.

Also isn't this thread about fucking Ukraine? Circus smells all around.

You only care about yourself, we know.

Well we can't all break our backs doing the work and changing the world like you do, idle banker - chiding other Republicans like yourself who haven't yet switched over to voting Dem within the last few years, and staking these bad boys in your yard...

Thank you for your service, sir! What would the women in your life do without you bravely fighting for them not only in the voting booth, but also in the Ukraine thread!

Ever since "The Wall" where he became a whiney, modern day Holden Caufield, Waters has gotten on my nerves.  I thought that his statement about Nick Mason never being a real member of Pink Floyd (or whatever he was espousing) was the worst he could be, until now...

^^^ Regular updates for anyone interested in balancing out the American imperialist bias that exists within our empire's corporate media propaganda arms.

And today from aljazeera:

Quote

Russia calls for nuclear power plant pledges

A Russian diplomat has called on Ukraine to offer security assurances so that international inspectors could visit the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant that has come under fire.

As fighting steps up in southern Ukraine, concern has grown sharply about the Zaporizhzhia plant, which is held by Russian forces and has been hit by sporadic shelling.

Russia’s envoy to international organisations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, called on Ukraine to “stop shelling” the plant to allow an inspection mission from the International Atomic Energy Agency.

“It is important that the Ukrainians stop their shelling of the station and provide security guarantees to members of the mission. An international team cannot be sent to work under continuous artillery shelling,” he was quoted as saying by TASS.

The media we're all sharing have an inherent bias yes, but I'm not sure that actual state-run propoganda (where it's literally illegal to counter the government line and all the opposition press have been shut down or forced underground) is the best counterbalance.

The few stories in that first feed are all just summaries of articles articulating the state narrative, there's no analysis attached.

I only didn't post the picture of the person talking about Mainstream Media sources with a giant straw labeled "Literal Russian Propaganda" because someone in the comment thread where I saw it said "Well what about independent/underground Ukrainian journalists and reporters?" and I thought "...shit that's a great point actually."

Russian propagandist Sergei Sreda posted about his visit to the PRC Wagner groups base in Popasnaya.  He even posted pictures, like this one containing the address of the base -

Not too long afterward, the base was obliterated by a HIMARS attack.  Sergi has gone quiet, after removing his posts.

Russia allegedly tells nuclear power plant workers to not go to work Friday amid concerns of a planned incident

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/russia-says-may-shut-zaporizhzhia-nuclear-plant-shelling-continues-rcna43673

ZAPORIZHZHIA, Ukraine — Russia has allegedly told workers at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant not to show up to work Friday, Ukrainian military intelligence has exclusively confirmed to NBC News.

This comes amid allegations and speculation from both Russia and Ukraine that an incident is being planned Friday at the plant.

On Thursday, Russia threatened to shut down the plant, warning that there was a risk of a human-made disaster due to alleged continued shelling by Ukraine.

But Ukraine has a completely different story, according to Andriy Yusov, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate.

“There is new information, it arrived about half an hour ago, that for tomorrow, August 19, there is an order for the majority of the staff not to go to work,” Yusov told NBC News.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Yea I dont like this.  Sure seems like Putin is about to intentionally cause some sort of nuclear disaster at this plant.

Yeah, "Some of you guys are okay, don't go to the radiation factory tomorrow" is...not super reassuring.

As someone brought up elsewhere, Putin can't blame this on the Ukrainians without essentially saying that the Ukrainians can attack that deep into Russia and they can't stop them.  Others are saying it was Partisans & some are speculating Putin himself was behind it.

I think it’s fucking weird as fuck that sites are attempting to count deaths and destruction as if that is the indicator who is winning or losing… I mean, I guess that’s what the public wants… but who is really winning in any of this besides the oligarchs controlling the staple resources impacted in everything involved.
