I require three quarters to successfully do laundry

This is going to be a fun afternoon of going place to place in an attempt to acquire them.

My plan:

I have paper money for the purpose of getting quarters back.

1. Go to Plaid Pantry and buy something that's barely over $1.00 and pay with $2.00 ask for the change back in quarters.

2.  If Plaid Pantry Plan fails I'm going to 711 and getting $5 cashbacks and I'm going to ask for three quarters.

3.  Sneak in to the creepy laundromat after walking about a mile (I'm attempting to avoid public transportation unless necessary) and use their change machine if it's not down.

4.  Walk another mile. Go to Fred Meyer and buy some stuff and try to get change back from there.

5.  If my bank is still open see if they're will help without ID since I have my card and I'm only asking for three quarters.

6. Either wash my clothes by hand and dry them in the dryer or wash them in the washer and hang them to dry.  Cry.

I like that the laundromat near me doesn't need change and gives you a card you load with money.

Jelly.

I'm sure I can take like an hour bus ride or a 15 min Uber and find a laundry like but I also don't want to drag my clothes a mile up and down hill to the bus and spend $60 on Ubers...

Yep, that's why it's so hard to get quarters and such a task rn for me.

If you can find a spot with vending machines I used to stick a couple dollars in them and push the change return button to get back quarters when I needed them. But there's the risk of the damn thing eating your money ;___; I wish you the best though

That is why it's nice to live in a flat place with a car.

Dude... Just ask people if they have any quarters. When I was on the streets this was a skill I had to master. Not everyone will say yes, but if you stay positive someone will have those quarters. Or whatever else you might need. My favorite is asking people for their leftover food when they come out of restaurants. You can get some bomb shit.

What?! I'm not going to beg for fucking quarters lol.

I briefly contemplated asking the homeless I will inevitably encounter asking for money if they'd trade a quarter for a dollar.  But if they don't have a quarter then I'm still going to be out a dollar because you can't just walk away from that.  Also close human interaction? Bleh.

I used to live at an apartment where the laundry machines only took quarters

I did all my laundry at the laundromat because I use my credit card pretty much 100% of the time

The nearest laundromat to me is a decrepit relic with horrifying Google reviews.

The one I went to was pretty nice. It was right next door to a gas station so I'd put my clothes in the washer, go buy a snack and a drink, and just sit and play on my phone while I waited.

Okay, now I have to insist. You need to learn to ask for help... They're just quarters; why is that a big deal?

the laundromat at my old complex used quarters. i basically took them from the laundromat down the road because i was too lazy to go to the bank

That's what I was doing since it was like half a mile closer than the bank.  Then they ran me off and one of their machines has been out of service lately.

They've been denying people here recently because of the shortage.

Hmmm. I haven't seen any shortages here, though I typically just use a credit card for most things.

Good luck, you can always buy a sweet tea/drink from McDonald's for a dollar and probably score your three quarters.

Well, whatever you do, don't take laundry tips from Nabs.

You should be allowed to purchase a single roll of quarters once per week / every other week if it's a particularly hard hit area. As long as you aren't in there every single day or attempting more than a single roll, it should work. Worse case scenario, they move down to an offer of $5.00 in quarters which would still work for you.

He thinks sunshine (read: the back of a filthy Nissan) can clean clothes as effectively as traditional laundry.

I'd let you borrow my washer and dryer if I were where you were 😂

Oh.  I see.  You're one of those fancy people with your own units.  What else do you have, a fridge that makes and dispenses ice too?!  :RoboAngry:

They're in honor of Coronavirus victims and survivors.  Lotta people thought it was a little tasteless or it shoulda been a pangolin.  🦇
