I am such a huge Marvel fan, I got Dead Pool 2 the day it came out, on 4K Blu-ray.

Then, when Once Upon a Dead Pool came out, I got it too. Just to see the PG-13 version.

I didn't feel my Marvel collection would have been complete without it.

We bought every Marvel movie and every DC movie.

Looking forward to picking up Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse and Aquaman in the next few weeks.

So, even if Captain Marvel is mediocre at best, I am compelled to buy it.

Add in Black Panther and Deadpool for a top five and pretty much samesies. I'll go see Captain Marvel because it probably won't disappoint me as much as the Avengers movies did.

Black Panther, Captain America: Civil War, Thor Ragnarok, Avengers Infinity War, Ant-Man, Ant-Man and The Wasp, Captain America: The First Avenger,  Spider-Man Homecoming, Guardians of the Galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2.

Those are my top ten. In no particular order. Except for Black Panther at number 1.

Do you like any of the Marvel movies?

I like the Captain America movies because ironically enough they're the most subversive from a character that could easily be a self-parody.  Also the art design of Marvel was never better than the 40's sets of the first one.

It's not mediocre, just that some folks were expecting it to be over the top in terms of their expectations and other folks who felt offended that it's not a male oriented film. I on the other hand enjoyed what it had to offer. Despite the clunky opening, it does get better along the ride to the finish. And this film ties in every film it precedes. I'm sure someone will come up with a new timeline on how all these films go together.

I give the movie a 3/10 because of her boner-blocking feet.

However somewhere dudeco is going Super Saiyan right now.

It was mediocre imo, and I am a long time fan of both Marvel comics and their cinematic universe. And the feminism tropes seemed force in, but weren't as prevalent as others "feared" they would be.

The main problem I have is Brie Larson is a bad actress (unbelievable as the character she's portraying). I mean I hate to say it but she's just not convincing in this role to me. Add to that Captain Marvel falls into that category of "overpowered" superheroes and you already have a recipe for a bland movie.

DCEU did a much better job in casting for their female superhero lead. Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman is probably one of the best portrayals of any superhero in any superhero movie to date. Not to mention the story was more compelling than this.

In short, it's not a terrible film, but it's pretty low on the totem pole when compared to recent films and films that are "first" in a series for Marvel. It's not bad on the level of Iron Man 2 or Thor 2, but it's not great on the level of Guardians of the Galaxy or Dr. Strange.

Winter Soldier is my favorite but Ragnarok is my least favorite. I absolutely hate that movie and don't understand why it's so popular.

Ragnarok is the only superhero movie I like out of the several I've seen the last few years, a genuinely fun movie.

I won't tear into it because I don't think anyone else gives a shit but beyond it being more like a Guardians movie than a Thor movie, I don't see the appeal.

So, this movie was kind of meh. I actually went to see it because of all the crazy, cringey nonsense about review-bombing, trolls and shill reviews.

It just wasn't that good. It wasn't terrible, and if you like MCU films you won't be disappointed, but you probably won't be impressed either. It just kind of seemed phoned in, and it seems even more like a set-up for some serious WTAF ass pulls story wise.

Also SPOILER!!!!!!!

Spoiler

In Endgame Capt. Marvel defeats Thanos by exposing a sexist tweet he posted from 2015....

Healthy relation to culture here. Normal human behavior

my guess is

Spoiler

Captain Marvel is going to become the new Avengers team captain after Captain America dies or whatever.

i think if they develop the character a bit more then i'd be cool with that. also the movie was as subtle with its military propaganda as

but in all fairness, so was Top Gun

Ragnarok was different enough from the other Thor movies to where it can almost feel like a reboot. If you were into the previous movies and wanted consistency among the films, Ragnarok could really annoy some people. In my case, I wasn't into the other Thor movies and ended up really liking Ragnarok because it was so different. And getting to watch Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie let me forgive any flaws. :D

I didn't like any Thor movies, least of all Ragnarok. Just felt like the director told everyone to be wacky and it all comes off as a bad, high budget improv show.

I ... didnt care too much for Ragnarok except for the parts with Cate Blanchett. I was trying to figure out if they were being serious or were all the other parts of the movie bloopers

The fact that this appeals to me is probably another reason why I liked the movie.

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh. kind of lost interest around 3/4 of the way in

I've seen some nerdy youtubers paint Captain Marvel pretty epically though.. I guess the movie fell short? Also independent animators etc at this point.. I was thinking about seeing it in theatre hmm..

I enjoyed the Deadpool 2 movie.. A lot of comic fans scoffed at it due to the X force being mocked.. a bit, but as a DEADPOOL movie made a lot of sense.. even comic book wise. I would like some more thoughts I suppose on the subject of CM.

Thank you. It just came off as a loosely tied together improv romp. I did laugh a couple times early on but then the jokes kept dragging on and the movie's tone became totally nebulous because every one was trying to be the comic relief.
