Támbien estoy  aprendiendo español soy demasiado tímida para hablarlo 😑

I still have to use translate from time to time because it assists in grammatical structure of sentences. I’ll know the words but not exactly where to place them 😬

Me gusta Duolingo

I agree that it’s slow learning a language with it though. Part of the fault is mine. I should’ve been reading Spanish language newspapers and watching television in Spanish too 😑

Do they speak slowly enough. This is a huge problem. The language is spoken so quickly it’s hard to hear the words, you know what I mean?

On American shows with Spanish speaking characters I rely less on the subs cuz I think the director has them speak slower. Even if only slightly.

I totally know what you mean...it took me forever to get used to the speed

I haven't come across a show where they don't talk fast....though it kinda seems like the Mexican shows are not quite as fast as the shows made in Spain....

I was watching Breaking Bad, maybe that’s why. With the exception of Gus, the other characters were supposed to be Mexican. They could just speak slower.

Yes, "Mi nombre es" does translate exactly to "my name is" but Spanish speakers don't say it like that.

Great

Now I have to go conquer every spanish speaking nation in the World and force them to say it that way
