choices of diff type burgers?

I think?  Mostly toppings, cheeses, sauces, bun etc.  I think they had chicken or maybe a veggie burger, I don't remember.

I wouldn't go on my own if I wanted a burger, but if I had a coupon or if thats where people I was with wanted to go, I wouldn't NOT go, but there's better < $10 burger meals out there.  I didn't like their fries, but the milkshakes were ok.

I was unimpressed for the cost, but if you have coupons, then go for it.  They have a lot of choices, but I found it wasn't anything special in my opinion.

Yeah I got the truffle mushroom Swiss and I’m not thrilled...but smash fries....tossed in olive oil, rosemary and garlic....I’d come here just for these fries

well, hey, good for you then.  I got regular fries with some kind of seasoning on them, I don't remember but it wasn't stand-out to me.  I like 5 guys better if I'm gonna spend $10 on a burger meal

The only thing about five guys I enjoyed was the malt vinegar they have for fries...it reminds me of NY....

Our Smashburger can be meh to great depending on who's working the grill. I discovered that during most of the week, the burgers are cooked well done and the fries are less crispy, but on Sunday I'm more likely to get a medium temp burger perfectly spiced with golden fries.

Why do people get so hung up on fries....I was told 5 guys had fries that were the shit.....Turns out they just fried potatoes and put them in a cup.

I have shitty joints so frying potatoes of any kind are a bitch to deal with for me. Getting someone else to do the work is way more satisfying, but there are very few places nearby whose fries are perfectly cooked and seasoned. So yeah, when I can get hassle free delicious fries, I will go gaga over that shit.

It seems like one of those trends that other places have mimicked enough that it lost its luster like the Blaze pizza bar idea. The Habit is pretty good, but other than that, there aren’t too many burger places I’d seek out. Five Guys’ main appeal is getting a paper bag full of fries, but the foods merely ok.

They're better then In-N-Outs fries, though.  Those fries really are just slices of potatoes fried and in a container.  You have to salt them yourself.

Also, Smashburger is alright, but I probably wouldn't make a special stop there.  They're competing against the usual suspects, and they don't have the same coverage a local chains like The Habit have.  Their shakes are pretty good though.
