Should I quit my job without giving 2 weeks notice?

After I get another offer, of course.

Like, Idk how much they actually care. My direct supervisor would be the only one I really care about but I don't really even see him much anymore since I'm not even working on my typical house much anymore. So I figure whenever I get another offer how much harm would there be in just saying that Friday would be my last day at this job so I could start a new job next Monday.

Yeah, like I wouldn't do it.

Although there's been sometimes at my job I've been so pissed off that I've almost quit and walked right out.

So you know. Do whatever is best for Gordon

Be professional.

Give them the two weeks, if nothing else the clients you serve deserve having time for management to find people, adjust scheduling etc..

This is the kind of job where it isn't only you that is being affected.

I mean, they have extra staff right now so idk how much of a problem it would be scheduling wise. I suppose it's best to be professional though.

The smart thing to do is give the 2 weeks.  I've left a company and went to work for another.  That second company folded and I went to a third.  While working for them, they were bought out by the first company.  I was VERY glad I didn't burn bridges.  To borrow a line from Chris Rock's routine, "You never know...".

There is no reason for you to give these people two weeks notice after they stole thanksgiving from you. If you don't care about the reference then the only good reason to stay any longer than what you need them for would be if suddenly bailing would fuck up any co-workers you care about, but since it doesn't sound like that's the case my advice is to quit whenever you want to, you don't owe them any more of your time.

I really doubt they're gonna care too much people quit all the time.

Then DON'T tell them. They probably won't care, that being the case. Then again, that's me.

Or.....OR.....if you can get away with it......keep earning paychecks from them.

Come in every couple of weeks, see if they are checking. Try to see if you can keep earning paychecks from them without them noticing.

It's hourly so I have to clock in and out. Though I am kind of curious how much I could no call/no show before they stop calling to see where I am. Not that I would do that, that would be a bit too shitty since they'd have me on the schedule for the day and would have to scramble to find coverage.

I mean I'd still try to give like, one week notice. Like say I get an offer for a new job on a Monday. I'd say Friday that week would be my last day. Schedules are done a month in advance anyway and there's no way I'm giving that much notice. They have extra people at this point anyway.

I care about my direct supervisor and that's about it. But I'm not really working directly with him much anymore since I've been getting bumped from my usual work area a lot lately.

There ya go. You have the perfect way to screw with them. Knowing that little tidbit is the best portion. You can screw with them the most. Knowing that you're on the schedule that far in advance.

What do u mean. They would know if I didn't come in even though I'm on the schedule >_>

Maybe......maybe not. I mean, you can still clock in, but if they aren't watching.....do you ACTUALLY need to be there? >.>

Well I work at a residential facility so someone always needs to be there. My coworkers would definitely notice really quick and would probably say something. Or even if they didn't the main office would eventually call down looking for me just to ask if I wanted to work third shift or something. My coworkers would say they don't know where I am or something, and I'd eventually be found out.

Also technically they are watching there are cameras. Supposed to be there just to look back when incidents happen but they'd definitely be able to look at them and see me clock in and leave.
