FOOTBALL 2017 THE DUMBENING

We got lucky this week, we had a couple really great games to watch. Even the LOL Browns game would have been good to watch.

I think it is getting to that time in the season when the LOL teams are out to spoil it for everyone else, which is kind of odd because they would be in serious contention if they had played to that level all season.

Big injuries though, Wentz might be out for the season.... That hit looked kind of cheap too, wouldn't put it past LA to be cheap like that. Maybe Goodell can quit pissing off Papa Johns and tell these teams that taking cheap shots like that will result in punishment not only to the players but to the organization in terms of loss of draft picks.

I mean, Cleveland will still draft a punter with their #1, but at least with this when they screw up the paperwork they can get a do over with their #2 and #3....

So yeah, ACL, Wentz is done and with him our Super Bowl hopes. Oh well, it was a fun year, and who knows? Foles might be able to look decent in these last 3 games and get some media hype or something. That could be fun to watch playout before we crash and burn in the playoffs.:S

@sahockeygrl15 must be nice being able to watch the games live. im so jealous of all you who live close to your teams.

also congrats to the dolphins for playing a good game all around. both offense and defense was clicking for them. they were rushing brady all game long. playoff race is kinda crazy this year with many teams still alive and with decent chances.

Scores are updated

Picks are up

This week there are 2 SATURDAY GAMES

Sheesh, what a crazy week.

Cam gets sprinkles

Brady doesn't get any damn ice cream at all, losing to Cutler.....

Seahags try to beat the hell out of fans in Jacksonville, which I can understand, I mean, I kinda want to punch the fans in Jacksonville on general principle but still gotta be professional.

Eagles lose the Superbowl before they get to it, that has to be some kind of record. Feel bad for Philly fans.

The Browns nearly defeat the Packers, but then they remember they are the Browns, and lose.

If Nick Foles gets the Eagles through the NFC championship and wins the Superbowl I'd be mighty impressed.

Foles is good, but he isn't quite as mobile as Wentz and he doesn't have quite the arm accuracy at distance that Wentz has, which means that the stretch offense that Philly relies on to score a lot of points really quick won't quite be there. After 14 games of that, moving back to a more incremental offense in a week is going to be difficult, and the games they are playing now can determine home field, which they will almost assuredly need. I'm not dismissing them entirely, but I think the NFC just became a lot more open to teams like the Saints, Vikings and even the Falcons, who can all go on the road and win.

Next year though, if Wentz is back to full, Eagles are going to be scary next level good.

they should still be decent even with nick foles. of course not as great of a chance as they do with healthy wentz but that eagles team is a well constructed team. every aspect of their game is good and they should still be able to compete with any of the nfc teams. honestly it wouldnt surprise me if they make it far into the playoffs.

the playoff race is too close to call on both side. in the afc its steelers, pats, and jags as the best teams in that order. i feel like ravens and chargers are next after. then everyone else is really bunched up in the next tier.

nfc teams are much closer for all the top teams. i still feel that both eagles and rams as the best teams but the next tier teams are all very competitive.

Lots of injuries

And a horrible game of football

yeah, i wonder if this is just the effect tnf has on players? so far football outsiders say data is inconclusive but all the players say they hate playing on tnf. also for the time i watched the game, trevor siemian was doing really bad. hurting the team bad. he's not even back up level good.

football fans...what happened to Kaepernick's career...I just learned he used to be good...what changed?

just curious...

A few things he went from almost making a SB comeback to a pretty ineffective QB in very short time. I blame the coaching. Harbaugh left and coached college had a lot to do with his decline

kaepernick is not a bad QB. He needs stable and competent coaching imo. The biggest mistake Kaepernick made was walking away from his contract while embroiled in the fake controversy of kneeling.

That was it no team wanted to touch him after that. He didn't deserve to go unsigned all season. There are currently QBs in the league as we speak not as good as Kaepernick

i just wanna add that kap is more of a qb that thrives when he is given good support and a not so great one when the support isnt as strong. that year he went to the superbowl his team was great. but then next year they went in decline, i think they might have had some big injuries that year or regression in some aspect of their game. either way, his coach went out and they brought in a bad one *chip kelly*.

by that time the team was already laughing stock bad and i believe he lost his job to the back up. kaps numbers where in decline for that season but he still showed a few times of what he was capable of. around this time the news of black people getting killed by cops was getting major media attention and in thats when started protesting.

in his last year which was last season he won the award for being the most stand out guy in the team. i forgot what the award was called but it was something that the players voted on. so any mention of him being a major locker room distraction should be taken with a giant grain of salt. the main thing is he spoke out against the system which is a big no in the eyes of the owners.

if you look in the nfl today, the one thing there is a shortage of is good quarterbacks. i still think kap is better than at least 5-10 of the starter level qb's. at the very least i'd say he would be in the dependable back up qb level which every team should have. so with that said i strongly believe that he was being black balled by the league.

I heard Chip Kelly was racist. I'm not saying he is but it's been said

Welp, just about time to see if Nick can look good against a 2 - 11 team. I'm extraordinarily sleepy, having been awake since 8 last night, but for whatever reason unable to fall asleep so...what the fuck, let's do this!
