Anyway I tried to do a reverse image search, on several dif platforms nothing can find anything, I keep getting Ceramic.fakepath or something like that in the results so good show..

When you lift it and tilt it slightly, it lights. If it's knocked over accidentally, the safety switch trips and it's as good as unplugged.

It may seem dumb by modern standards, but back in the 1930's we were not a nation of people who wanted to be in bubble wrap all the time. That's also why cars didn't have seatbelts.
