I know they did, and it's utterly unforgivable that we have to address the ineptitude of Netanyahu's government and the IDF rather than talk about the atrocities committed by Hamas.
-
What gets me about all this is that no one has really discussed the third possibility, that he did it and that this might have been the first high profile case of CTE.

Nah, that was just my family reunion.

Ghosty, we all know you stand for justice and the rights of all people.

The difference between a millennial and a zoomer
scoobdog replied to Icarus27k's topic in General Discussion
(Like Buddy said....) Generational monikers are fundamentally arbitrary. They exist mostly to document how changes to social structure, economy, and technology combine to shape a particular group of people. The concept itself didn't become a thing until the Baby Boom happened, largely as a response to fundamental changes in how the "Greatest Generation" changed their approach to raising "Boomers" from their parents'. -
I guess that's what happens when you bomb indiscriminately and kill hostages.

2024 Presidential Elections: the schadenfreude commences
scoobdog replied to NewBluntsworth's topic in Current Events
This is what you would typically call a "Nothingburger" because it amounts to little more than roughly a week's difference, and, while there is clearly a power move at play the time difference it too close for the Republicans to have any actual leverage. -
The difference between a millennial and a zoomer
scoobdog replied to Icarus27k's topic in General Discussion
The term doesn’t explicitly apply to an age range, though it’s generally thought of as the last 1/3 of the generation. Xennials are the group of Xers that came of age at the start of the internet age. -
That’s perfect. To think Ghosty had that planned all along.

Fixed that for you.

The worst of both worlds, believe you me. -
For those wondering... the Chinese tech billionaire who purchased the rights to produce the adaptation that was eventually seen on Netflix was murdered by the lawyer he initially hired to negotiate the deal. You're a Xennial, probably. -
I really don’t think he has a strong opinion on abortion, if only for the simple reason it doesn’t matter to him. Sure he’ll sign it if it’s front of him, but only if there’s something else in it for him. He’s happy to crow about voting in justices that overturned Roe v Wade because it not only represented a favor to his rabid GOP base, it represented a favor to the conservatives on the SCOTUS. It’s part of his transactional relationship with everybody and everything. It’s different with immigration. Trump is a known racist. Eradicating non white people is an explicit goal even if it’s not expressed in those exact words, and making the distinction between this and his stance on abortion highlights the true danger he poses once he’s given the ability to use someone else’s agenda as a bargaining chip for his corrupt business ventures.

I'm kind of interested in seeing it simply because of all the tragedy involved in its adaptation.

4.8 magnitude earthquake hits NYC and Tristate area….
scoobdog replied to 1pooh4u's topic in Current Events
I mean, we do live next to the mother of all strike-slip transform faults so it's always assumed we're more used to earthquakes than anyone else on the North American Plate. But, your experience isn't all that different than ours. The primary reason NYC tends to be resistant to earthquakes isn't so much building codes as it is the fact you, by necessity, have to connect your buildings' foundations to bedrock. If the same earthquake were to happen somewhere in the remote midwest, it would likely have significantly more damage. -
I don’t like shaving, but it’s been better now that I use a safety razor instead of an electric one. I’ll shave once a week because that’s how long I can go before stubble becomes an actual beard, and I shave it all off.

I don't want to impinge on the fantasy here, but if there's discharge in child birth, the poor lady is probably dying. Ghosty has been through enough in life.
