  1. It was never really clear for me either. They did parade the women Bill assaulted during the 2016 election, so that’s what I thought.
  2. At this rate, he’s going to have to convince another gullible kid to take a shot at immortality before the end of the week. Maybe an impromptu rally at a Home Depot across the street from the County Park.
  3. I sure am glad I have the UEMB because JESUS FUCKING CHRIST I have no idea how every channel can fill an entire day of news reports about nothing.
  4. Michelle isn’t going to step in, but… I do see her possibly taking a page out of Hillary’s playbook and becoming active in the campaign. She has a lot of political capital to spend, and using it for Kamala Harris will almost certainly reap rewards. The question is, will Kamala be able to get Michelle to buy in? That’s one of the early campaign storylines that will determine how the campaign goes.
  5. That’s code for “Time for you to start making the rounds.” It’s why she’s taken ten times the abuse Bobo and MTG have and not become a punchline. Obama is using his endorsement as an ace in the hole.
  6. He dropped out at the best possible time.
  7. She’s squandered the meager political capital she earned from the hearings, so it’s kind of hilarious that she has to scramble out first to just get her name out there.
  8. I don’t think we’re doomed either. Harris does have to really play the presidential part out the gate, and while I will never discount the latent misogyny that lives in our electorate, she isn’t HRC. She can project the confidence that Clinton never could.
  9. I was thinking it would have been more nuanced, so as to avoid the exact thing Johnson was threatening, but it looks like he was going for a more complete break. He timed it about as perfectly as he could though… right after the GOP convention. That was probably the “succession” plan itself.
  10. How ugly is this dude's widow that he'd rather make out with an empty suit instead of a clearly eligible piece of Trump certified ass? And IDGAF - this dude was a nutso Turmptard before he got his 15 minutes of fame, so that hero talk is full on bullshit.
  11. Joe has to come up with a succession plan.
  12. The GOP is not turning into the party of the working class. All that says is that the working class is voting for Trump, not that the GOP represents the working class.
  13. Don’t think so, but it might be he doesn’t bother until he shows up at camp. Apparently he isn’t using an agent yet, so it’s just whenever he’s near the facility I think. No indication that he’s upset or not intending to sign.
  14. That’s a given. She ain’t owning any of that.
  15. I’m not watching… how much plastic surgery has she done since we last saw her?
  16. White people.
  17. Caleb's training regime is fire.
  18. Only idiots think of COVID as the common cold, and most people aren’t idiots. And Trump getting scratched by plexiglass. Trying to compare the two is the exact bullshit that Republicans use to con voters.
  19. But that describes Trump too. I don’t understand why you think Biden doing what every health organization in the country is telling people to do: go home when you’re sick so you don’t make others sick.
  20. So, I’m old and frail now because I spent a few days at home after testing positive for COVID? Good to know.
  21. That's the end result regardless. The minefield is attempting to remove someone from the ballot that's been nominated in primary voting. Doing so would trigger all kinds of challenges that while not likely to succeed would still bog down the campaign and ultimately scuttle the ticket. The trick is framing her candidacy in the terms of the already agreed upon ticket, which, as you say, is Joe saying "it's not just me serving four more years, it 'us' serving those four years." At the same time, it's unusual for a VP, even an incumbent one, to campaign this early; I think that's why they're being so cautious about putting her out there to campaign. I think where we might diverge is the degree to which Joe has a succession plan in place. You seem to be suggesting that he's only mollifying that group when I tend to think he has something more concrete in place as a backstop. The way the narrative is lingering tells me that its beyond any slight-of-hand.
  22. As she should. No one wants a usurper. But, that doesn't mean she's against stepping in when she needs to.
