I generally enjoy it I just hate running. I like sticking to working out and actually seeing results and all that but I'd much rather hit a bike, or swim, or even aggressively walk on a treadmill on an incline than run.

Otherwise There should be a local shop around that can repair it for not that bad. When my 360 ate shit I took it to this dude that repaired cellphones and consoles and he fixed it same day for like $50

I've ran a lot in my life due to sports and can honestly say I've never experienced this phenomenon myself. Everyone always talked about that and second winds but my personal experience with running for long distances is feeling really hot and being 100% convinced some angry person is shanking me in the side repeatedly.

It may just be me but I know whenever I'm walking a vehicle rolls up and stops I get a little paranoid. I don't think they'd interact with us personally. I do believe Aliens are real but if you were a life form that was advanced enough to figure out speed of light travel or faster and you rolled up on a planet that was constantly having wars and targeting specific groups for no reason I imagine they'd just nope the fuck out of here and keep traveling.
