i started doing geneology a while back and discovered that a whole bunch of my ancestors are buried in a church a few miles from my house. i'm not from this state, nor are any of my immediate family.

ooh, one more thing that's kind of strange. i live in the south, in case you hadn't figured that out. but we have a large greek population in this weird little corner of the state, and they've been here for quite some time. so it's not uncommon to go into a family restaurant and find southern staples like fried catfish or collard greens, right next to souvlaki on the menu.

i've mentioned livermush before. the other weird thing is the tendency to put sugar on rice when eating it for breakfast. not sure what to make of that one.

i suppose i deserve that. except for the prosperous life part. that was a bit over the mark, man.
